NAPA AT CROSSWINDS
Crosswinds Tagaytay

Coffee, wine, pizza, rustic feels of California, and a scenic view of rolling hills. One of the best places to eat in Tagaytay. When we went here, the line was so long but we got prioritized because of my grandmother and niece. The server told me that the best time to visit is in the early morning when there are few customers. The place is more beautiful at night because the lights are lit, highlighting its rustic vibes. Both the interior and exterior are Instagrammable. You need to get in line for your order to be taken. My instant favorite is their Vietnamese Latte and Rustic Classic Pizza.

A must-visit for coffee lovers. The food tastes good but is pricy. Notably, the guard’s sense of humor entertained us while waiting to get inside. The staff was very accommodating, we’re sat outside and made a couple of requests. Since lots of people wanted to dine here, parking near Napa is challenging. If you have seniors with you, drop them near the gate before parking and pick them up when leaving. Napa is on a hillside and it’ll be difficult for the elders to walk back and forth. Not advisable if you’re going to commute.

SURUGIN RAMEN HOUSE
In Sulsugin, Alfonso Cavite

It was a cloudy and windy morning in Tagaytay when we suddenly craved for Japanese Ramen. I recalled seeing in FB some posts about this Japanese Ramen House in Amadeo. So we gave it a try! We arrived early that day, for we were the only customer. We are greeted by the staff and were directed to the seat below a small Bahay Kubo. The place has its nature/garden Japanese vibes that felt very relaxing. The chilly breeze that morning felt good and made our anticipation of the ramen more exciting!

Then the fresh hot ramen arrived. The taste was wonderful and blend in nicely with the cold weather. Ramen serving was plentiful. The gyoza was delicious too. We were so full but couldn’t just leave because the rain poured. We had a chat with our server and learned that the name Surugin came from the word Sulsugin. (The name of the area where the ramen house is located.)

Food preparation is fast. The place was relaxing, and the staff was accommodating. They have a parking space. The location is easy to find. Alfresco-style dining, be there early to avoid long queue. IG worthy ramen house to try if you’re already in Tagaytay. Not advisable if you’re coming from Metro Manila.

SOMO Market in Daang Hari.

A great weekend destination for those who want to spend time outside of the usual mall. They have merchants selling products from different cities and islands of the country. Fresh produce, meats, handicrafts, perfumes, plants, toys and apparels. They also have a wide variety of food that will satisfy your cravings. Eat and relax while listening to their live band performance. Only a few steps away, you can visit their "Lambingan Bridge" where lovers take selfies and padlock their promise to one another 🙂

They are open on Fridays 4-8 PM / Saturday and Sundays 7AM - 8PM. SOMO Market is located in Daang Hari, Molino IV, Bacoor Cavite
