When you try to take a nice Christmas picture with your dog… 😂 finally you always choose Barolo 😉🐕🥰 For those of you who didn’t know: the dog on the picture is our main leader Barolo who is named after the Italian red wine that you see in the end of the video 😃We wish you all a very merry Christmas time 🎄 and a happy New Year 🥳

While we are waiting for winter to come… let’s present our biggest investment for dog’s comfort and security: a brand new, tailor made trailer from for our superstars 🐕. Safe and comfortable travels to races and mountain tours ahead 😃

First picture was taken already first night after the trailer had arrived to its new home. Maybe a good sign that even the Northern Lights welcomed it 😉

Joël and Raffi have also approved it 🥰 swipe to see 😂

Not enough with one puppy? … no, we thought Sky might want a little brother 😉

So, almost three weeks ago, Alaska joined our family 🥰 When I spent a half week in Kiruna for education I met him .se and he was the ONE of the litter that I wanted to take with me. Of course exactly he was supposed to stay there, but Mats gave me the trust to choose him for our team. Thank you so much 😊

Alaska was initially named Tornado, because the litter is the “Storm-litter” after his father Blizzard. But since we already have Tornado here we decided for the name Alaska referring to the heritage of both his parents who came to Sweden from Alaska earlier this year.

Autumn in the mountains ⛰️🍂🏕️

Last weekend Zazu and I visited our friends and together with Simone and Zazu’s half sister Yentna we spent three wonderful days in the Swedish mountains.
First day we followed an old trail - but just on the map, in reality all the way was off trail with either a lot of bushes or swamps and waters to cross 😅 it was really warm for September but luckily some clouds made it ok for walking and exactly when we had put up the tents the sun came back for a nice sunset 🌄
The second day started with a great sunrise 🌅 followed by clouds ☁️ and fog 🌫️. The trail was now marked better and we met a lot of reindeers before going downhill, enjoying beautiful autumn colors.
The last day started with a lot of fog, making it impossible to see the valley behind us, but offered interesting views up the mountains. After some more ups and downs in sunshine we reached the parking spot and ended this fantastic tour.

Hiking 🥾 in the Vindelfjällen‘s Nature Reserve 🏔️🏕️

2 days, 22km, a soon 5 years old child, a lot of singing 🎶, laughter 😂, happiness 😃, teamwork 🤝, snacks 🌭, camping ⛺️, sun ☀️, wind 💨, rain 🌧️, beautiful nature 🍀 - what more can you wish for?

Say hi to the newest member of our family: Sky 🥰

Usually we name our puppies according to a topic. This time it is not one, but two 😅 for Joël it is of course Paw Patrol 🐾🚔, for me it is her parents, Atlas und Venus. In the Greek mythology the titan Atlas must hold up the world 🌍, while Venus as a planet is circling in our universe. So, what connects both better than the Sky?

Sky is from a small racing kennel in Northern Norway with great long distance lines behind… so, future shines bright 🤩 Thank you for your trust in us 😊

Midsummer in Sweden

This weekend we are celebrating midsummer with the longest days in the year and 🌸☀️💐

We started with a pizza evening on Thursday with delicious 🍕from our stone oven. Yesterday we had our traditional celebration in the village with dancing around the midsummer pole 💃 And today Michelle prepared her first ever, which was approved by Maya before we finally enjoyed some icecream and 🍓😋

This year is a really crazy snake year. Two-three weeks ago we had four adders 🐍 directly around the dogs (or this one even in the kennel) within one week. Then it was a bit colder and we haven’t seen them for some time. But today Barolo and I were almost stepping on one, directly on our normal walk and training trail just about 300m from the kennel 😱Until now we were very lucky that no dog was bitten because this is potentially fatal. But I am really longing for winter… don’t need to see more reptiles close to my dogs 😉 How is it at your place?
