If you come to Japan, please try a hoppy. It's beer-flavored soft drink, but in Japan, I usually "SHOCHU" with "HOPPY" . I think most Japanese pubs have it. Please say Hoppy please for the first order. Most of the hoppy remains when you drink it up. so you can refill shochu in a glass. At that time, shochu is called "NAKA"(inside) and hoppy is called "SOTO"(outside). So if you want shochu, please do it 「"NAKA"! Please」try saying.
※ Shochu is one of the leading sake in Japan and is a distilled liquor of potatoes and grains.
