Sanctuary is the newest sanctuary

The sanctuary is a birds haven. It is an IBA, a Ramsar Site and an international recognised with hot water springs and amazing landscapes.

It is accessible through Pelican Gate along the Nairobi - Nakuru Highway and Maji Moto Gate along Kikopey – Elementaita Road.

Effective 1st October 2022, visitors to the sanctuary will pay the applicable conservation fees.

Despite its somewhat uncertain name, Hell's Gate National Park is an ideal location for a day trip, a truly panoramic picnic spot, or a memorable camping stop. Carved deep into the Great Rift Valley floor, this relatively small park offers endless biodiversity and is one of two Kenya parks for hiking and cycling.

Landscapes, towering cliffs, carved canyons, rocky rock towers, bushy volcanoes, and geothermal steam bubbling eruptions are one of Africa's most mysterious parks.
