Marathon week is just over a month away! What are you planning on wearing for your races?

The theme this year is collegiate athletes and each distance is represented by one of the OGs

5K- Pluto
10k- Chip & Dale
1/2- Donald & Daisy
Full- Mickey and Minnie

I won’t be going for the full this year so I focused on the first 3. When picking outfits to run in I first find my inspiration. Then I focus on color blocking and comfort. I’ve seen some pretty amazing and elaborate costmes. That’s not my style. If I’m going to be running I want to do it comfortably. Next I start to think about what I’ll need on the course. Think fuel, water, phone, and any extras… For those things pockets are a must for me. For the 1/2 I’ll add in a running belt too.

Most of these items are Amazon but I’ll likely get a few pieces from lululemon too!

Pregnant with Cancer 💕 Yes you read that right. It happens, and I’m here to tell you there is a chance both lives can be saved. Just ask he knows how tough we mamas are.

Now let’s talk about the big scary’s. The doctor told me both lives could be saved, but we would need 4 rounds of chemo and surgery. Before my baby took his first breaths he would go through treatment for the big C. I was terrified. If I didn’t already have two babies who needed me, I’d sometimes wonder if I would have accepted treatment or tried to wait until after his birth.

Four rounds of chemo... Each time, I held my breath, waiting for his kicks. At only 16 weeks, it was just flutters I longed to feel. I would anxiously anticipate our ultrasounds, where I could see him move and hear his heartbeat. Those moments brought relief, but it was fleeting, as I was soon back in the chemo chair.

Those days felt dark and endless. He started this journey the size of an avocado, yet he is the true warrior in our story.
