Berwick is a 20 minute drive from the cottage to visit the independent shops, lovely cafes, great beaches, walk around the Elizabethan walls and visit The Lowry exhibition.

Autumn scene or miserable wet Sunday what do you see? What’s your … are you a ‘when life gives you Monday dip it in glitter and sparkle all day’ kind of person or ‘pull the duvet back on and having 5 more minutes’ bet you can guess what kind I am? 💞

I stopped to capture this lovely scene on the way to Sunday lunch yesterday at Ad Gefrin Wooler and can’t wait to share more about our visit later. But for now I’m going to enjoy this autumn 🍂 scene with a ☕️before attacking Monday Happy Monday everyone 🧡

“We did the 1:30pm tour ‘Following in the Footsteps of Uhtred’ with Rob (). It was very popular despite the rain and we highly recommend this tour. Rob brought the history to life. He was very informative and his knowledge of the area and history was incredible. The hour flew by. His tour concluded in the King’s Hall, where clothing and props from The Last Kingdom were on show. All in all, a fantastic day out.”
