Hello
I'd like to share my experience in extending family visit visa. I applied for my wife's visa extension on the 10th, and received the 2 weeks pledge message on absher on the 12th. I went to jawazat the same day and found out that they are no longer extending visit visas for more than 270 days. The officer in jawazat also told me that since my wife's visa is expiring I need to extend it for 2 weeks and then send her back before the expiration otherwise I'll have to face fines or permanent ban. The officer told me to get the 2 weeks extension I need to go to shops near jawazat and get a written pledge to leave the country within 2 weeks with my thumbprint and upload it to absher.

I went to the shop, explained to him my situation and he created a pdf of the pledge and asked me to put my thumbprint and uploaded it to tawasul along with a screenshot of the visa expiry date from absher and my iqama. For this he charged me SR100.
My wife's visa was extended the next morning for 2 weeks.
