🔸Approaching runway 27 at London City Airport (EGLC) on the stunning Steep ILS 5.5° Glidepath 🛬

🔸The descent is so steep that we are allowed to deploy the Speed Brakes once the Glideslope is captured and all the way down to touchdown in order to maintain good approach and landing speeds.

😲 No matter landing on runway 27 or 09, both are as breathtaking but these views on 27 are..... 🤩🤩🤩

Horizon E175 from Seattle to San Francisco had to divert to Portland after the pilot sitting in the jumpseat inside the cockpit tried to reach both Engine Fire handles on the overhead panel, which would cause both engines to stop receiving fuel and shut down.

Bad on Alaska for reading back an instruction clearly stated for Skywest, but worse on Tower for not catching that readback from wrong callsign. There was no blocking or static and some silence after that so I guess Skywest did not hear that instruction. In fact, they continued on their 280 initial heading assigned and never turned to 340 until doublechecked by Tower at 1:22.
