✨ Have you seen Dunfermline's stunning Tiffany glass window? ✨

Unveiled in 1913 and commissioned by Andrew Carnegie in memory of his family, this Tiffany glass window is located in the Abbey Church. After years of careful restoration, it was reinstalled in 2019, marking the centenary of Carnegie's death.

Crafted by Tiffany Studios in New York, the window features a mesmerising sunset, vibrant rhododendrons & layers of iridescent Favrile glass. It's believed that Carnegie had suggested that Scottish thistles should be added in the foreground, but the artist was not familiar with thistles! It's a beautiful tribute to Carnegie's love for Dunfermline📍

Step back in time with the historic cross in Culross! Similarly built to the iconic Mercat Crosses found across Scotland, this gem dates back to the 17th century. Rebuilt in 1902 to preserve its integrity, the cross proudly marks the heart of this charming West Fife village.

The top of the cross has four distinctive sides which depict:
The Culross coat of arms 🛡️
The initials and coat of arms of its 1902 restorer ⚒️
A monogram for King James VI 👑
And a unicorn, Scotland’s national animal 🦄

Have you visited Culross and seen the cross?

Craving authentic Japanese cuisine in Dunfermline? Head to Koku Shi Dunfermline 🍣

From sushi and ramen to curries and bao buns, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We tried the pork belly bao buns and veggie gyoza - absolutely fantastic! We also tried the chicken mazeman and pad thai, but they were so delicious we forgot to take a photo!

Plus, Koku Shi offers an amazing vegan selection! 🌱 Treat yourself to a culinary adventure right here in Dunfermline.

Have you visited Dunfermline's oldest house?

Abbot House, affectionately known as the 'pink house', is located in the heart of the Maygate & dates all the way back to the 16th century. This iconic landmark has survived The Great Fire of 1624, world wars and religious turmoil. It's a real testament to Dunfermline's rich history.

Past residents of Abbot House are vast and varied, ranging from Abbots and Commendators of Dunfermline Abbey to Earls of Dunfermline and writer/herbalist Lady Anne Halkett. Abbot House now houses an amazing gift shop and Prost Coffee.

Step inside and journey through centuries of stories and heritage.

🌊Discover the world's smallest working 'lighthouse' in North Queensferry🌊

This hidden gem offers a fascinating glimpse into history, built in 1817. Climb just 24 steps to its peak and enjoy breathtaking views of the Forth, including the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Powered by vegetable oil, this light tower has been restored back to full working order and reopened to the public in June 2010, after 120 years of disuse.
