Important Tron Update, that affects many other rides as well!!

Starting last Monday, Tron no longer uses a Virtual Queue and instead has a standby line. If you want to skip the line, you can still purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass, which has been around $20 per person.

But here’s the surprising parts: 1) Tron is NOT open for early entry, and 2) wait times have been maxing out at 75 minutes. Many times the wait goes down to 40-50 minutes, or even as low as 30 minutes

And perhaps the best part? Having another option for a top tier ride at rope drop has meant that Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan’s Flight have seen lower waits early in the morning

My recommendation? Maybe buy a Single Pass for Tron, but skip it for Seven Dwarfs (unless you’re going during a high crowd time) and instead rope drop it

Tomorrow is the day! Castaway Club members can begin booking the brand new ship, the Disney Destiny, for sailings beginning November 20, 2025!

This unique ship focused on the battle between heroes and villains will have 4- and 5-night sailings from Ft. Lauderdale with stops at Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay, the Bahamas and Cozumel

Planning a multi-generational Disney trip? Read on!

Taking a trip with extended family is always fun, but the planning can especially be a headache. Everyone has their own to-do lists and vision of what makes a good trip, some people will wait to do research and then there’s the word some people don’t want to talk about- budget.

Here are my top tips to reduce the possible stress -

🏨 Talk hotels early. Find out what everyone is looking for, use this time to talk sleep schedules and expected transportation and realize it’s ok to stay at different hotels!

📋Meet a few months before the trip and have everyone list out 3-4 must dos. These will be the things that will not be compromised and will be used to set the rest of the plans

✌️Know that it’s ok to not spend every waking moment together. If some people want to ride one ride, while others really don’t, it’s ok to split up!

But an important caveat here - be open for someone’s must do to include everyone doing something together. For example - Grandma wanting to see all the kids meet Mickey together

💪Self promo time - use a TA to lower your stress. Not only can I help navigate some personalities and handle billing, I can also help book this even harder to get dining reservations for a large group.

And if there is something you don’t want your family to know, I will keep your secret 🤫

(like being in a different section of your resort!)

Next year Universal Orlando will be opening a fourth park - Epic Universe, and we just got many more details on the land themed to the How to Train your Dragon franchise!

With a family thrill coaster, an inverting spinner, a Viking boat shooter-style ride, an interactive show and multiple interactive elements throughout the land, this definitely will live up to the Epic name!

Other lands in Epic Universe will be based on classic monsters, Super Mario Brothers and a third Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

But why wait? This year Universal is opening Dreamworks land, and has a ton of promotions ready to use (which in all honesty will likely not be around when Epic opens)

And of course there is already two Wizarding World lands, including Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, Velocicoaster (which has to be one of the most thrilling coasters I’ve been on), as well as rides and areas based on some your favorite movies and shows like Marvel, Dr. Seuss, Simpsons, Transformers and more!

There is just something about the Polynesian that makes it one of my favorite resorts at WDW. The tropical theming makes you feel like you’re on vacation instantly, there is a great view of the castle and fireworks, the rooms are some of the biggest on property, the pool and adjoining splash pad are great for kids of all ages, the bars serve some of the most unique drinks at any resort (who doesn’t love getting a pineapple??), and can you beat the convenience of the monorail??? And Dole Whips. Need I say more?

Wow! Watching the Disney Treasure unveiling this morning, that is the only word that comes to mind. Not only is this ship beautiful, it really will be unlike any other ship currently at sea. Including:

-Plaza De Coco - a restaurant themed to the Pixar film - Coco. This reminds me a lot of the Mexico pavilion at Epcot, set to look outside at night, but with lanterns overhead and live entertainment
-New Adult spaces, including the Periscope Pub (themed to 20,000 Leagues under the Sea) and the Skipper Society (themed to everyone's favorite "punny" attraction - Jungle Cruise)
-And just look at this lobby! The dark blues & gold add a certain regal, yet adventurous feeling the minute you embark!

Itineraries will begin sailing December 21, 2024 and will entail 7-night voyages from Port Canaveral. Bookings for the general public open 9/20, with Castaway Club members able to book starting 9/12!

Yes, summers in Florida are hot and humid. But, they are also some of the least crowded times to travel. The end of August through September tend to be some of my favorite times to visit because of the views like below. Less people = lower wait times, which means you can easily take mid day breaks back to your resort when the heat starts rising. And with historically low crowds, Disney also prices rooms and tickets at their lowest rates, usually offering some good promotions too!

Sounds good? There is still time to take advantage of the low crowds, and late summer promotions this year. Or, if you book for next year, I’ll make sure to watch for any promotions and apply them to get your best bang for your buck!

3 years ago we were one of the few families who made our way to Walt Disney World after their re-opening. Not all experiences were back, we had to wear masks throughout the park, and the parks closed very early. But it was one of the most magical times, and we made some of our best memories to date

A few years ago I got to check a travel destination off my bucket list - a cruise to Alaska. Between the Glaciers, Wildlife and yes, food, I consider this a must-see destination!

My favorite part was either sailing through Glacier Bay, or taking a train up through the mountains. I highly recommend both if you’re heading up North soon!

For so many years, convenience at Disney = high cost. With the opening of the Skyliner in 2019, that all changed! Now with value resorts like Pop Century and Art Of Animation, and the moderate Caribbean Beach (with one of the best pools on property IMO!), you don’t have to pay extra to get a resort that makes it easy to get to the parks!

And an added bonus - the Skyliner gliding over Hourglass Lake is one of my favorite views in all of Disney!
