A winter tale in the Cyprus village of Kalopanayiotis. We went for the iamatic springs but they were covered with snow so we end up fishing trout at the local Dam. We were lucky because the monks from the nearby monastery found us frozen, drove us to the village, prepared food for us and finally sent us home telling us to come back in the spring or summer time like any other Cyprus tourist

Few miles before Limassol on our journey we decided to get some Commandaria refreshments. We asked around and they pointed the Castle which is undoubtedly one of the best preserved feudal era castles in Cyprus, but as visitors rarely get the opportunity to explore the entire medieval complex, we were charmed by the almonds in bloom and we continued our way towards the busy city

Even if you will go up and down some steps to get there, don't forget to bring your bathing suit or at least your slippers

"Rock of the Roman"- Aphrodite's Rock is a sea stack between Limmasol and Paphos. Legend tell us she was born from sea foam at this spot and took her first steps on the island. Pretty little pebbly beach with crystal clear water and the rock standing out in the sea.
