🥁Introducing....Where in the World Wednesdays!🔎
Every Wednesday, we'll explore somewhere new at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Today we're starting with Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park! Did you know that there are 2 water parks at the Walt Disney World Resort? And starting in 2025, guests staying at Disney Resorts get to enjoy either water park on your check-in day at no extra cost.
❄Blizzard Beach is themed as Florida's first ski resort after a freak winter storm covered the area in snow. Right as they finished building, the storm lifted, and the snow started to melt. Not missing an opportunity, they retrofitted the ski park into a water park.
❄Attractions include a lazy river, wave pool, children's play areas, raft rides, and slides. Summit Plummet is a 12-story plunge down a 360-foot-long darkened tunnel. (not one you'll catch me on, no heights for me!🫣). To get up to the top of the mountain, catch a ride on the chairlift that will take you to 3 different attractions. Toboggan Racers is an 8-lane slalom style 250 long water slide. In Cross Country Creek, you can grab a tube and relax as you drift through the park, Look out for waterfalls and geysers along the way! Then you can take that tube over to the white sand beach of Melt-Away-Bay, a 1-acre heated wave pool. At Tike's Peak, your littles can splash in Anna and Elsa's igloo fortress, a junior tube ride, and perfectly sized for them slides.
❄This definitely doesn't cover all there is to do at Blizzard Beach! You're welcome to enjoy it on your arrival day or you can always add the water park and sports or park hopper plus options to your ticket package.
