When it came time for our dad to retire from his 34 years as a Captain for Airlines, we conspired with the whole family to plan a celebratory experience to honor his illustrious 47-year career in aviation. The trip began with Captain DePaolis’ final flight aboard a 787 Dreamliner from Denver to Frankfurt, where we collaborated with the whole crew and business class passengers to properly embarrass our humble father. From Frankfurt, we traveled to Heidelberg and stayed at the lovely . As a bucket-list surprise for our gearhead dad, we rented three Porsches (two 911s and a Panamera) for our family to drive together (aka carefully race 😛) on the Autobahn to Stuttgart where we all geeked out during a private factory tour of the 911 assembly line, witnessing the incredible artistry, precision, and craftsmanship it takes to build a automobile. (No cameras are allowed inside the factory, so you’ll just have to hire us to plan your next trip to visit and see for yourself!) Congratulations, Captain Dad! We couldn’t be more proud. ✈️🙌🏼👨✈️🏎️
