𝙉𝙤𝙠𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙖 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙘 𝙖𝙮𝙣𝙞? 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙞 𝙖𝙗𝙚 𝙠𝙤, 𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮𝙖 𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙘!✨

The name "𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙘" was derived from the word "𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙘" due to the abundant Purac Trees found in that area. Furthermore, before Porac became what it is today, it went through a lot of hardships, especially during the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991. Where multiple barangays were either partially or completely buried under the lahar. 🌋
