The oldest three-storey pagoda in Japan🇯🇵

Hokkiji Temple, located in Ikaruga Town, Nara Prefecture, was founded by Yamasode Taishi, the eldest son of Shotoku Taishi, who converted the Okamoto Palace where Shotoku Taishi had lived into a temple. Most of the buildings were rebuilt in the Muromachi period (1333-1573), but only the three-storey pagoda, built in 706, has survived intact, and Hokkiji Temple has been inscribed on the World Heritage List as part of the "Buddhist Monuments of the Horyu-ji Area". The three-storey pagoda of Hokkiji is 24m high and is the oldest surviving three-storey pagoda in Japan. The pagoda is said to be the oldest surviving three-storey pagoda in Japan, and the sight of it towering over the village of Ikaruga, with its lack of high-rise buildings, is a sight to behold.

"Ezo Momonga" only in Japan🇯🇵

The Ezo Momonga (flying squirrel) is a subspecies of Pteromys volans, an endemic subspecies found in Hokkaido, Japan. It is an animal that makes a den in a tree and lives mainly in the nest, seldom coming down to the ground. They are nocturnal, but are sometimes active during the day. They are 15 to 18 centimeters long and weigh around 100 grams. They have a fluffy and adorable face, and their popularity is rapidly increasing due to their cuteness. "Emonga" is a Pokémon modeled after the same species.

Ice bubbles are formed when gas gushing from the bottom of the lake freezes in layers along with the freezing of the lake. This winter poem can be seen at Lake Nukabirako.
