In this house, we measure height in terms of what attraction you can now ride. The most common height restriction at Disney World is 40 inches, so hitting that milestone is a big one. Liam was SO excited for her to try his favorite ride (which was later de-throned by the Incredicoaster). But we learned that Eden is not a “big ride” girl (yet), and that’s okay! To be clear, she WANTED to try it, but she as nervous- I did not force her on. 😅
What I love about Disney is that every trip is different. Every year, they’re a bit older with new favorite characters. So no two trips look the same.
Maybe on the next trip, she’ll love it. 😜

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties kick off in Magic Kingdom tonight! These special events occur 3-4 times per week beginning now through Halloween night. On this date, the park closes to regular guests at 6pm to allow for Halloween festivities to occur from 7pm-midnight.

Southwest Airlines Update!
If you know me, you know I love a nonstop Southwest flight from Indy to Orlando. They’re the airline I commonly recommend because of this option, and they give 2 free bags per guest. In a world of baggage fees, I love that theirs is still free.
The tricky (but sometimes nice) part of flying Southwest is their open seating policy, which allows guests to pick their seats on flight day instead of during the purchase process.
This will change in 2025.
After a recent survey showed a majority of passengers would prefer assigned seating, Southwest is changing their policy. Starting in 2025, you will be able to select your seats during the ticket purchase process.

⭐️ First off, I work for an agency that is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. I went through a thorough agency training as soon as I started. After that, I began my coursework for Disney’s College of Knowledge (it’s true!). In order to maintain my relationship with Disney, I have to renew this coursework every year to stay up to date on changes and enhancements.
⭐️ Mouse Counselors is also a Preferred Travel Agency to book Universal destinations! In order to earn my Universal Sales Specialist title with them, I had to complete their thorough training course as well. This also has to be renewed annually.

These reservations open on varying dates prior to your cruise, depending on the number of previous DCL cruises you’ve enjoyed, because it’s based on your DCL status. For us, it opened 90 days before sailing at midnight. When you book with me (and pay the same price as booking directly), this is one of those items I’ll take care of for you! 😉
TIP: If you’re a first-time DCL cruiser and you want to ensure you get all of your selected activities, you can book a Concierge stateroom. Then, you’ll be the first group to book your onboard activities and port adventures, regardless of your DCL status! This guarantees you’ll have the greatest amount of availability when it’s time to book all of your onboard experiences! Another perk- you’ll be the first onboard on your embarkation day too! 🙌

Feature Friday: Disney Cruise Line Split Bathrooms
Did you know that most of the DCL staterooms offer two split bathrooms? This setup allows families to feel like they have 2 bathrooms instead of 1, which EVERY family would prefer! The layout provides one half bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a sink. The other provides a toilet and another sink.
Can you believe this is actually how a majority of the DCL staterooms are designed?! Just one more reminder that Disney does family cruises best! 😉

Many people don’t realize that Disneyland in Anaheim, California was the first Disney park. It opened on this date in 1955. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida wouldn’t open for many years later.
This is the only park that Walt Disney was able to see open in person. The fact that he walked these streets, even staying in an apartment on Main Street at times, makes it feel more magical.✨

This character dining restaurant features some special characters that chased after their wishes to make them come true! The experience includes visits with each character at your table for photos, hugs, and autographs. You’ll also enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet and a short, but sweet wishing ceremony. You better believe I wrote down my wish too. 😉

I’m always impressed at the character interactions at Disney, but the food also especially impressed here. The stand out offerings are the strawberry soup 🤤 and POG juice. I was visiting with a guest with food allergies, and the chef went above and beyond to ensure she had anything and everything she wished for too!

Yesterday, I visited the Disney 100 Exhibition in Chicago, and it was incredible. Movie props and artifacts, actual sketches from Disney Imagineers, and learning more amazing facts on the wonderful Walt Disney, himself. Every time I dive into the details of the history of this company, I’m in awe. So many times, he overcame the impossible to make his dream come true. And now it’s my dream come true! I’m so thankful to Walt Disney for what he created. And to Roy Disney, his brother, who fulfilled Walt’s dreams when he passed away too soon. What an unbelievable legacy to leave behind. ❤️

This is the magic of Disney. ✨ This. Right. Here. While on the monorail, on our way back to the resort, we were stopped at the Polynesian when we found Pluto & Goofy! The entire time we were stopped, they played with the girls. This is one of so many reasons why I love staying onsite. You never know who you’ll find around the corner! This was one of my favorite moments of this trip so far. ❤️ *Don’t mind the shaky camera- I just started recording as soon as I saw them!
#4 Water Bottles My sweet friend, Nicole, ordered these for our girls for our upcoming trip. Be sure to get a cup that doesn’t leak so it won’t get items in your park bag wet. You can get free cups of water from all quick-service locations in the parks to refill it. And bring refillable cups for mom and dad too!
This is your friendly reminder that Disney was created to be a magical place that families can enjoy together. I have a family in Disney this week who had never been before, and when they contacted me about their trip, they said “We’ve never really been interested in going to Disney, but thought we should take our kids at least once.” Here they are months later, and Mom and Dad are enjoying the parks so much, they asked me to help secure a last-minute nanny so they could enjoy the parks on their own while the kids get an early bedtime. Yes, the Disney parks are that much fun, and not just for the kids! And yes, booking a nanny service I know and trust is another service I offer my clients. 😉 Whether you’ve always been a Disney fan, or you’ve never been before, Disney is ready and waiting to be your family’s happy place. ❤️
May the Fourth be with you. 😉 Easily one of the most incredible memories from our last Galaxy’s Edge visit was Savi’s Workshop, the lightsaber building experience. Guests are able to select the hardware and color of their lightsabers to make them their own. But even more so, the best part is that they make the experience feel more like a ceremony. The Cast Members are fully in character and the atmosphere is perfect. I’m a big nerd, but not a huge Star Wars nerd, and I still teared up, just in awe. This experience can be booked 60-days prior to check-in for onsite guests, and should be booked that early if you’re interested. Of course, reserving this experience is another service I provide for my clients. I do not recommend this experience for small kids. I didn’t think Liam was ready for it (yet). Fortunately, my niece wanted to build a lightsaber, so that’s how we got to experience it. She was also very gracious to let Liam take some awesome pictures with it after! The lightsaber is fragile, and admittedly the experience is pricey. That being said, both my niece and I agreed that it was completely worth it after seeing it firsthand, as long as you understand that the lightsaber is more of a collectible than a toy. Every time I come around this corner and see the castle at the end of the street, it brings me to tears. I can’t explain the way it makes me feel- the joy of a child I guess. It’s purely good. Literally Magic. 💜😭
Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge Okay, first of all, the Galaxy’s Edge area is unbelievable. I cannot do it justice in pictures and videos. But I’ll try my best with words. After a ride in Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, which was a blast, we headed to Oga’s Cantina for a drink. First of all, the theming and attention to detail is INSANE. But that describes all of Galaxy’s Edge. We asked the server to choose her best recommendations for us, and she killed it. Halei and I got the Fuzzy Tauntaun and the Bespin Fizz. For Liam, she made a Carbon Freeze. Check out more stories for a video of her pouring our bubbling concoctions. The atmosphere was perfect. The drinks were delicious. And the staff was on point. 10/10 would recommend!
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration If I told you most of this attraction is hearing the story of Frozen told by funny narrators and watching clips of the movie while singing along to everyone’s favorite songs, you may think, “I do that every day at home.” 😂 But not. like. this. The narrators are hilarious, throwing in tons of adult humor to add flair. They tell you to sing along at the top of your lungs (we took those instructions very seriously). And of course at the end, you do get to see Kristoff, Anna, and Elsa. Even more, you get to see Elsa use her powers! Halei and I both agreed that this was one of our favorite experiences so far! Truly just so much fun. An absolute must do for the Frozen fans! Liam, on the other hand, was just excited to get to the next ride. We may have dragged him to this for our sake. 😜
Every character interaction at the restaurant was this personal and adorable! I’m always so impressed that these characters can communicate with kids so well, even though they can’t speak. So sweet!
A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King The show was so entertaining and fun. At one point, Halei and I looked at each other and simultaneously said “What?!” And “How?!” Equally entertaining for the adults and kids! All of Disney’s stage shows are included in your park admission, and they’re offered several times per day for your convenience. Stay tuned for more when we visit Hollywood Studios in a couple days!
Hello Everyone! I’ve been quiet this month as our family endured an onslaught of illnesses leading up to the holidays. But thankfully we are all healthy, and I’m back to shamelessly share a video I found from our last family trip to Disney. People have asked me when I recommend taking kids to the parks, and it depends. If you’re a “one-and-done” family, you should wait until your kids are at least 4-5 years old. This way, they’re still in full belief of the Magic, but old enough to hit most of the height requirements for the rides. My son was 4 on this trip and he was a BLAST to go with. If you’re a family who plans to go more than once, I highly recommend taking little ones (but plan accordingly for everyone’s sanity!). On this trip, our daughter was 2 years old. This brought challenges, as she was the first one to get tired and overstimulated, which is why we brought our niece as a nanny. But the BEST part of bringing little ones is watching the Magic in their eyes. In the video, you can see her in her stroller pointing up to Mickey and friends on the train station platform, and at that moment she literally said “They’re real.” 😍🤩 Heart melted. 🥺 So feel free to enjoy a video of one day in Magic Kingdom, all the characters we got to see, the yummy treats, so many rides, and unforgettable memories made. 💕
