Just 8 weeks ago, my sisters called me with a great idea. Let’s plan a trip with dad and mom for her 60th birthday, back to our childhood vacation destination. And let’s make it a surprise. 🤫

We joked that it was our “reunion tour.” Our original family of 5 hadn’t been here without friends, boyfriends, fiancées, husbands, and kids in about 15 years.

This trip was a dream. We sat on our porch and watched the ocean over our coffee while we talked and laughed for HOURS. We tried an Escape Room, played cards, went for walks, watched old home videos, and ate delicious food. 🙌

A huge shout out to the unsung heroes that made this trip possible- our husbands who rocked single-fatherhood for 5 days. You are SO appreciated! 💕

This is your sign to call your siblings and plan your own “reunion tour.” It’s time to get the band back together. You won’t regret it. ❤️

Surprise! 🥳🥳

For my mom’s 60th Birthday, she and my dad were headed to Isle of Palms, SC, which was our annual family vacation destination growing up. They always said they wanted to try visiting in winter, but never got the chance. Until now. 🥰

When they arrived at the gate, she learned that her daughters were coming along too. ❤️

The “Original 5” are headed back to our special place.

And we can’t wait! 🙌

Disney World makes New Year’s Eve family friendly! 🎆

The “Fantasy in the Skies” NYE fireworks show can be found in Magic Kingdom on both December 30th & the 31st at 6:30pm AND 11:50pm. EPCOT also hosts “Cheers to the New Year” on the 31st to try to spread out the crowds some. 👏

You wanna hit the countdown with the kids at 6:30pm, have them bathed and in bed at the resort by 8:30pm? Be Our Guest! 🙌

Just don’t forget to book a Magic Kingdom or EPCOT resort with a theme park view to take in the fireworks from your resort room for the countdown at midnight. 😉

⭐️ 2024 Trip Highlight ⭐️

We had an incredible year of vacations in 2024, and so I wanted to do a recap before we ring in the New Year! 🥳

⚡️December⚡️Ethan and I visited Universal Orlando for a long weekend. This was his first visit, and I loved showing him all of the HP lands and screaming next to each other on all the big rides!

🚢 October 🏰 We visited Walt Disney World for the weekend before our first family Disney Cruise on the Disney Wish! Our weekend at WDW is undoubtedly one of my favorite memories from 2024, and on a top 10 for our family. We had a blast. However, the cruise with our extended family is my kiddos’ favorite trip they’ve ever been on! Sharing that experience with them made it SO much more fun for them, and I don’t know that we’ll top that for a long time!

🚂 July🌲We went to Georgia for a family reunion, but stopped for an overnight stay in a train car on the way down! The train car stay was SUPER cool, and a great mini-trip for us before a long weekend with our big Brege family! Over 80 people joined in for this reunion!

☀️ June 📚 I attended onsite training with another Mouse Counselor, .counselor.tracey, at Universal Orlando, which included classroom training with their sales team, as well as resort tours and park time of course! Of course I squeezed in a visit to WDW while I was in the neighborhood. 😜

🏰 May ✨I took the kiddos to Disneyland for our first visit with our favorite Disney buddy, ! We stayed in all 3 Disneyland Resorts, and did ALL the specific Disneyland things. Our favorite: Avengers campus of course! 🙌

🏰 January 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ In January, I visited the Disney 100 exhibit in Chicago with a couple of friends! Not shown because Instagram still caps me at 10 pics. 🙈

Special thanks to Halei for being the very best Disney buddy, and our families who help out with babysitting to make all of these trips possible when the kiddos don’t come along. And of course to Ethan, for taking care of all of our daily needs and wants so that I can just spoil us with lots of vacations! 😘

⭐️ Future Stay Package at the Pop Century Resort with 5-day park hopper tickets for a family of 3 that visited over fall break and is ready to return in 2025!

⭐️ Another Pop Century Resort room for Grandma to join her daughter’s family that’s booked for a trip in January 2025

⭐️ A 5th Sleeper Room at the Port Orleans Resort for a family of 6 (one is an infant) who decided they needed some Disney magic added to their Christmas break!

⭐️ Three King Bed Rooms at the Portofino Bay Resort at Universal Orlando with 4-day tickets for 3 couples who will visit in December 2025 to visit the new EPIC Universe park!

Your room steward will maintain your stateroom with multiple visits throughout the day. The only problem? No one does this for me at home. 😜
