Yael (b. 1988 in New-York) has a BFA in Photography from ‘The Bezalel Academy of Art and Design’ in Jerusalem, Israel. In 2014 she moved from Tel-Aviv to Lublin, Poland after she received a grant from the European Union to do a project connected to the Jewish history of Lublin. She initiated and curated the interdisciplinary project ‘Six Verbs Movement’ which involved Polish, German and Israeli artists. Yael moved to Warsaw from Lublin after she completed her Artistic fellowship there in 2015 because she fell in love with Warsaw’s contemporary art scene. Her first words in Polish were ‘Sztuka Współczesna’ (contemporary art). Now, along to maintaining her artistic practice, she is a freelance curator and writer. Yael speaks English and Hebrew as her native languages as well as basic Polish, Yiddish and Arabic. Artours collaborates with Kompania Środkowoeuropejska
