I believe in a local self sustaining and community driven economy.
Every year, I am requested by at least 100+ families, who are local Canadian tourists, and also International tourists, to help them find tourism services ranging from:
a) Renting a cottage.
b) Staying with a local for a weekend.
c) English Language experience stay (2 months at home with a host)
d) Fishing Guides with a boat (power or row boat)
e) Hunting Guides
f) Forest Trekking & Camping guides
g) ATV & Dirt Bike guides
h) Visiting Farms
i) Horse Riding and Equestrian experience
... and the list goes on.
As I moved to the Outaouais area about 3 years ago, I have seen too many wasted resources, people struggling to make ends meet, lonely seniors struggling financially and so on. These things can be changed by encouraging local tourism, with a personal touch, where you are the host and the guide.
There are both local and international tourists who are willing to pay a reasonable fee, for the experience and escape outside the city.
Before spring arrives, it is my intention to collect and compile ALL local resources in the Outaouais region, where families and individuals with an open heart, are welcoming to these local and international guests, and anyone who can provide tourist guide services.
You will be providing a service for a fee. You will be the host for a fee. You will be your own boss with your own rules and guidelines for your guests. You will enjoy entertaining your guests while getting paid for their experience. Every year thousands of international students arrive in Canada to live in the summer and many fail to find a host family, as a result they do not come to Canada. The opportunity and potential is limitless. The world can come to you!

No, this is NOT an AirBnB model. This is a "Local Experience" tourism model, encouraging tourism in a niche sector, which corporations do not want to spend time developing, 100% legal and encouraged by the Quebec government.
