It's a painful but necessary measure to help the country to overcome these difficult moments and to protect our citizens and all those who visit our wonderful country.

Piazza Navona is central Rome’s 🇮🇹 elegant showcase square. Built over the 1st-century Stadio di Domiziano, it was paved over in the 15th century and for almost 300 years hosted the city's main market. Its grand centrepiece is Bernini’s Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, a flamboyant fountain featuring an Egyptian obelisk and muscular personifications of the rivers Nile, Ganges, Danube and Plate also known as “The Fountain of the Four Rivers”. There was food and pastries on literally every corner along with vending machines with personal items. We passed a street vendor selling roasted chestnuts for 5 euros... one would think they’d taste like roasted pecans but they were more like boiled peanuts to me 🤷🏽‍♀️. We found the best gelato spot called Frigidarium. Right across from Frigidarium is a Da Bafetto which is well known for their 🍕 pizza. After waiting 20 minutes in the rain for a pizza that was supposed to only take 10 minutes to make, we got a refund and went back to our Airbnb.

As most of you guys know, I am a 33 year old mom of 2 boys 👩‍👦‍👦, 12 and 15 months (yes I started over). I have always had a strong love for travel. Not only do I want to see the world, but I also want my boys to have the same experiences. My oldest son has been traveling since he was 2 and as he got older, our travels became easier because he became more independent. Initially, the thought of starting over and not being able to roam freely with my new baby was SCARY. I thought my life... my hobbies would be put on hold until he was older. But then it hit me, people travel with babies all the time. We can make this work. Nothing to it but to do it. So, I rounded up my boys, and we set off to Dallas... a place not too far with a relatively short flight. We also made it through our first NFL game (he was asleep by the second quarter) #WhoDat⚜️ We arrived at the airport about 2 hours early. I am #TeamCarryOn so we each had our own bag. I used a stroller with a car seat attachment. I purchased a carseat/stroller bag from target and checked them both at the gate instead of the front counter, that way they were accessible as soon as we landed instead of waiting at the bag carousel. If your baby is in the carseat/stroller when going through TSA, you must take the baby out of the carseat and put it on the conveyor belt along with your luggage before walking though the detector which was a hassle but we made it through. We were within the first boarding group (bec of the children) so we were able to get on first and get settled before the other passengers loaded the plane. During takeoff I nursed him and he fell asleep until we arrived in Dallas an hour and a half later. Easy breezy. On the return flight, I decided to baby wear and push the stroller. I did NOT have to take him out of the wrap for TSA and we strolled right on through. It made things so much easier to be handsfree while going through security.
