The second Tiny 10 animal of the trip was this beautiful Southern Bush Duiker! Haley made a good shot on him and as he was busy down a Jackal came to try and catch him. A once in a lifetime sighting - video to follow!

Meanwhile back in SA, one of our good friends Haley and PH Cala visited the Elephant hall at the Letaba Rest camp in Kruger National Park on their way to Mozambique! 🎣 This hall is a museum of all the mega tuskers of Kruger - a special visit.

After three days we finally found an old Hippo bull in a spot where we had a chance to get a shot with the bow! We spotted him feeding from about a 150 yards and quickly got into within 45 yards. Two well placed arrows resulted in the bull going down in a small pool not even 100 yards from where we shot him. More pics to follow!

The African bushpig’s mostly nocturnal behavior makes it one of the more challenging animals to hunt with a bow and arrow. We spotted this beautiful boar at 10 AM while searching for a hippo at a watering hole.

After seeing him and another boar from over 200 yards away, we devised a game plan and closed the distance without any hassles. This was a wonderful opportunity to capitalize on!

After unpacking all our gear, we decided to go for an afternoon drive. We stumbled upon two dagga boys feeding in a burned section, where fresh green shoots were emerging. With the wind in our favor, we quietly closed the distance from 300 yards to 70 yards, still undetected. After observing both bulls through our binoculars, we chose the one we wanted and slowly got into position as he grazed toward us. After what felt like hours, the bull stopped at 50 yards. My client drew back his bow and released a perfect arrow. We heard his death below within 30 second and after waiting for 20 minutes, found him just 100 yards from where he stood!

Wes and Cala got this beautiful Bushbuck on the Limpopo river spot and stalk! An incredible stalk got Wes within 30 yards of the ram unaware of their presence. A great shot resulted in a short tracking job. Well done guys!!
