It is with great sadness that I tell you we laid Daisy the Red Shed Fly Shop Dog to rest this morning. We had 15 wonderful years. Tonight there is a big hole in my heart.

The new Ballistic Trout Spey Lines have finally arrived. There are 3 grain weights, 250, 300, 350. Lee and I test cast the prototype 300grn on my 10'7" cane prototype trout spey and thought it worked pretty well. I will have a demo in each size for a no obligation test drive.

The 15th Clearwater Spey gathering is now history. It was a wet day. The worst weather we've had in 15 years. I truly appreciate and want to thank the people that attended, without which there be no reason to hold this event.

I have many people to thank for this event to go as smoothly as it does. First and foremost in the Red Shed Family is Linda Cummins, aka Mrs.RedShed. Also Dale and Amanda Wheeler, along with Josh, Devinee, Alexis, and Emilee. Kelly and Chuck Brumley, Brandon Brumley, and Sam Fowler.

The Steelhead run in the Clearwater is very late this year or may be just about non existent.

After much agonizing by myself, Mrs. RedShed, the Red Shed Fly Shop family and friends we have decided to hold the event again this year. There has been no comment from IDFG as to this years run or lack thereof, nor whether they will close the season early. The season may very well be closed by the time the spey gathering date rolls around, but we will be in the Lenore rest stop picnic area on Sept 28, 2019 with some tackle reps, some demo casters, lunch, door prizes, and Mrs. RedShed's cookies.

There are still a lot of details missing on the demo caster page and the tackle rep page. I hope to have the rest of the info added this week.

Mrs. RedShed and I will be attending the FFI fly fishing fair in Boise, ID on Aug 8, 9, 10, and 11. We will have Gaelforce lines and rods, RB Meiser "Red Shed Special" two handers including 2 "trout speys", Poppy Cane, Farlex reels, some Wheatley boxes, Red Shed T-Shirts, line winders, and a small assortment of steelhead tying material, including Blue ear Pheasant, Jumbo Guinea, Bronze Mallard, JC, Lagartun tinsel and Benecchi 12/0 thread. We are looking forward to seeing any of you that may be attending.
