SkyDeck Mountain Retreat incorporates a single mountain villa perched on the edge of the Mutarazi escarpment, with 2 bedrooms boasting a 180 degree panoramic view of Zimbabwe’s highest mountain (Mt Nyangani) overlooking the vast mountain wilderness of the Nyanga national park. 2 beautifully appointed en-suite rooms with King size beds, both have access to an outdoor shower, wood fired Hot-tub and expansive deck. The villa has a large open central area with spacious lounge suites, glass fireplace, dining room and interactive kitchen where guests can experience the intricacies of their chefs’ skills in preparing their meals, all whilst overlooking the deck onto this same wilderness. The lodge is serviced by its own private chef, butler and guide, inclusive of all food and drinks and activities and is only open to one party at a time.

No children allowed unless with special permission from management.

Most activities can be booked during your stay – some are seasonal and require a certain number for participation such as the rafting and all are weather dependant.

The Karabezi’s name is a combination of “Kariba” and Zambezi”. With her 5 cabins, Karabezi is one of the most intimate river cruise boats in the Zambezi Cruise & Safaris fleet. All cabins on the houseboat have en-suite showers and water closet, except one which has a bathroom across the passage.

This Zambezi riverboat has a generously proportioned lounge and dining area, offering panoramic views of the landscape beyond, coupled with stylish interiors. A staircase leads to the top deck, from where the captain sails the river cruise boat – from here, you have a bird’s eye view as well as a great place to relax on a day bed in the open air.

You may prefer to escape the heat of the midday sun with a dip in the whirlpool bath, seating 6 people, or to kick back and relax on the sun loungers, all the while surrounded by endless views of the stunning African wilderness.
