Meet our homes for our Lamu Retreats 2024! 🏠✨

Our Main Coliving house and our award-winning apartments designed by one of the most renowned architects in Africa! 🌍

And what did we do during our last retreat? We created some amazing and lasting connections in the Island of Lamu and here is a little glimpse of what we did

⛵️We sailed in traditionally built wooden dhows to discover some of the best of the archipelago. Chasing sunsets while meeting the locals and expat community in the island

🤿 Swam and snorkeled in the warm crystal-clear Indian Ocean waters

🌕 We danced under the moonlit sky

🚣 Some managed to circumnavigate Lamu Island on Kayaks 🏅the others we also did it, on a dhow through the beautiful channels in the Archipelago 😊

🗺️ Explored historical sites, discovering the remaining of the best preserved Swahili settlement while learning the local culture

🌱 We visited some inspiring projects like the plastic recycling plant crafting full boats (BIG ONES!) out of plastic, the permaculture farm and some unique artisans workshops creating some of the most unique products of the island

🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏼‍♂️ Enjoyed our weekly yoga sessions, and that felt nice finding peace and balance!

🏝️Embarked on a 3 day expedition to an out of this world remote island in the most idillyc location only to ourselves surrounded in nature

🍴Savored some delicious meals together on our Monday Community dinners

👩‍🍳 Learned to cook some Swahili dishes

The highlight without doubt was being able to share all of this, some amazing conversations and moments with each one that joined us during the Lamu retreat ✨

🌍 Reflecting on the journey of a lifetime...

🚀 As our inaugural AfricaNomads Retreat comes to a close, our hearts are filled with gratitude. 🙏

♥️ From the bottom of our souls, we thank each and every one of you who joined, those who tried to be here, and those eagerly awaiting our next adventures. ⛵ The bonds we've forged, the stories shared, and the warmth of our connections have left an indelible mark on us all. 😊 Saying goodbye is never easy; each farewell felt like bidding farewell to family. 🌟 I must admit, tears flowed freely as we watched the last person depart, and little Bongo 🐾 has also needed plenty of cuddles in the aftermath. ♥️

We cherish the unforgettable memories we've created together. 🌴 It's incredible to see how each piece of the puzzle 🧩 has fallen into place since we embarked on this journey over a year and a half ago.

✨ Here's to the magic of connection, the joy of exploration, and the beauty of shared experiences. 🌺

🌴🌊Lamu Island vibes🌊🌴

We are having an amazing time at this beautiful paradise in our retreat for January - February 2024.

We met some wonderful people who became our family, always ready to have fun and enjoy life. We explored the hidden gems of this island and fell in love with its culture and nature.

We will miss you all so much, but we know we will see each other again. Until then, stay safe and happy. Love you all! 💕💕💕
