How about a sunny weekend spent wandering around the chateaux and wineries of St Emilion, tasting the wines, taking part in guided tours, farmers markets and craft markers? There are so many events that take place in the Dordogne throughout the year .

Spring views from the pool. The weather in April and May can be quite amazing in the Dordogne but, just in case, the pool is heated to the perfect temperature for swimming.

The two boys helping us to get the house ready for our first visitors of the year. The pool has been cleaned, pots filled with plants for the Spring and Summer. We are sure our guests will have a wonderful time here.

You can also pop along to Jo’s atelier and buy some of her lovely pieces. Something to do when you are not relaxing in or by the pool, out sightseeing or enjoying the food and wine of the Dordogne!

Well it’s certainly the right kind of weather for penguins this morning 🥶, so due to popular demand I am painting some. This will be a limited edition and was going to be the theme for this coming Christmas (yes, I know it’s only January but it’s got to be done !) If you would like one let me know. I have visited just about every vendor shown in this video (apart from the caramel obviously 😂). Enjoy the video - it fees like being in France x
