Thoughts on Guatemala...
Troy and Renee took ten of us to Guatemala for a week. It was an unbelievable experience! We got to spend real time with a number of Guatemalan artists, and we also got a really up-close-and-personal look at the dazzling country, its rich culture,and its lovely people. We traveled by bus, taxi, tuk-tuk, boat, and pickup truck, and we visited many scenic villages on Lake Atitlan, the colonial town of Antigua, and Guatemala City. Troy and Renee are wonderful, and they worked hard to make the trip both meaningful and fun. It was a phenomenal experience!

Thoughts for a tourist that joined us there:
Camiba Cultural Tours is a wonderful, small (10-13 people) personalized group tour. I’ve just returned from their 12 day tour to Argentina (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, and Iguazu Falls), and it’s one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. Troy and Rene research and plan almost every detail to ensure a positive experience. They focus on the art (museums and private galleries) and culture of each area and often enlist excellent local guides. They cater to their customers’ interests .
Rene, as the tour leader, went beyond my expectations in taking care of us —he exchanged money for us and quickly addressed any problems we had. I felt as if I was part of a family, not just part of a tour group. I see why Camiba has so many repeat customers, and I plan to travel with them again.

The beauty of Guatemala is hard to describe.
I had no idea how beautiful Guatemala was until Camiba Cultural Tours offered this
trip...Troy and Rene's itinerary assured I saw plenty of Antigua with it's stunning
architecture.and volcanos. The leisurely tour schedule made the most of my visit to
Lake Atitlan and surrounding villages but honestly I could have had a great trip just
hanging around the hotel at Lake Atitlan - that's how beautiful it was. ... With Camiba Cultural Tours, I've never had a big snafu or scary travel moment. With many of the details taken care of, I had time to relax and really fall in love with this wonderful country. ~ Karen D.
