As BIPOC (minority & queer) travelers, exploring the vast and varied landscapes of the United States can be an eye-opening experience filled with highs and lows. While road-tripping across the country, we’ve faced racial profiling and discrimination but also discovered hidden gems in Black-owned businesses and landmarks. We’ve connected with other alike travelers, bonded over our shared experiences, and confronted the nation’s complex history of slavery and segregation. We’ve experienced the beauty and diversity of the country’s landscape, felt empowered and liberated through solo travel, and challenged stereotypes and shattered misconceptions about Black culture. Join us on this journey and discover the power of travel in creating meaningful connections and experiences. #BlackTravelersUSA #RoadTrip #TravelExperience #Empowerment #Diversity #bipoctravel #minoritytravel
Idk about the rest of Louisiana, but New Orleans gives warm, welcoming vibes(at least from this visit.)
Also, shoutouts to my home skillet @emilychasse, who was born and raised in NOLA and gave me a long list of her faves in NOLA. I can’t wait to check some more spots off the list!
