In the middle of southern Thailand and we bump into another bikepacker! Daniel is cycling the world and started in Australia 101 days ago. We cycled our first few miles together this morning before we waved each other off and went in different directions. Brilliant day, 94 miles completed, mostly flat and overcast, apart from the last 10 miles when it poured down, which isn’t great when orange grit is splattering you from head to toe 😂 Cambodia is beautiful, the people, the scenery, the roads have been great, very wide cycle lanes and no angry dogs. Water buffalos swimming everywhere, hundreds of cows walking down the highway 😳, rice, sugar cane, bananas, baguettes and sausages (the French have certainly left their influence in Cambodia) Children chasing us on bicycles that they can barely reach the pedals on, to say hello, smiles, smiles and more smiles wherever you look. Lots of street side weddings, with music blasting out so load it was deafening cycling past. Loved it in Siem Reap, a brilliant location with so much to see and do, would highly recommend it. Time to eat and sleep ready for tomorrows ride. #Cambodia #Rohloff #lovecycling
