The choices we make every day carry inherent risk, as even the slightest difference in our decisions can lead to vastly divergent outcomes. But there is a way to alleviate some of that risk: by entrusting our choices to the Lord.

Though it can be difficult to relinquish control over our future, doing so has led to a clearer and more peaceful path than I could have ever crafted myself. Of course, this is easier said than done; having faith in the unknown is challenging.

As I embark on the uncertain journey of what lies ahead for my family, I must humble myself before the Lord and acknowledge my own doubts and fears.

For that reason my continued prayer is, “Lord I believe but help me in my unbelief!”

💙Why do I hike for ??💙

I’m not any different than you.

I live a busy life - working and raising kids.
That sentence right there represents 18 hours of every day - wrapped up in, well, you name it!

I’m not any different than you.

I Wish there was more I could do for those who hurt and suffer in silence - all alone.

I wish there were more hours in a day, so I can do more to show others (strangers) that I care.

I‘m not any different than you.

When an opportunity to help presents itself, we work to move mountains to make it happen.

This is my mountain, and I choose to climb it every year so kids suffering from life threatening illnesses can have a little extra hope.

Because it’s Hope and Joy that fuels their healing ❤️‍🩹 abilities.

See, Granting a wish for these kids sometimes makes the difference between life and death.

All wishes are unique in what brings these kids joy and hope, costing roughly $10K per kid.

I chose to make myself uncomfortable asking for donations. I chose to push my body past my it’s physical capabilities. I chose to stay committed.

It’s why I hike!

“I will strengthen you.” Isaiah 41:10

In the past few years my definition of strength has drastically shifted! Like, in a BIG way!

Where it used to mean: having the guts to speak boldly to defend myself in any situation.

Now means: as a delicate plant pelted by hail during an overnight storm gains the ability to bloom again in the morning light.

The difference is: where I was once reliant only on myself, I’ve now discovered that true strength is not mustered up inside myself, but a result of communing with & relying on the Lord.

I’m not perfect at it, but I’m grateful for the growth opportunity to work towards a healthier view of what REAL strength is. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

We never have all of it, yet we make decisions as if we do. What if we made decisions knowing we don’t have the whole truth, being comfortable with the idea we may never have it. Would it change the way you approach life’s situations?
