We haven’t done one of these before, so meet your hosts of 🥰

Our names are Tawnie and Wayne and we are so happy to be able to share our dreams with you.

We are “glampers” ourselves and currently live in our 5th wheel while we rent out our home away from home on Airbnb 🤍

We’ve been living in a camper since the beginning of 2021 (we moved into it shortly after getting married) and stayed in it on the dome property for most of the time that we were building. When we weren’t there, we were traveling the country in our camper.

We are currently in the process of building our second Airbnb in the neighboring town of Bryson City - , so we are local to the dome right now and are happy to help our guests in any way we can 🫶🏻

We are originally from Florida, but have always been in love with the mountains of North Carolina, it is where we got engaged 🥹 we plan on eventually putting more solid roots down here when we are ready to start a family of our own, but in the meantime enjoy the ability to travel back and forth between here and our previous home state of Florida to spend time with our families.

Just wanted to share a little background on us and let you know how much we appreciate all of you who choose to stay at our dome and share your memories and experiences with us.

It literally lights up our worlds getting to know we brought a special place to you and your loved ones and we sincerely hope your stay at our dome will be one of the most memorable trips of your life 🫶🏻

Because having a space to cozy up and watch a movie after a long day adventuring in the Smoky Mountains is important ✨

We are one of the few domes where you will get to enjoy a space like this because we made our bath house separate to keep the floor plan nice and large and open. Plus, this allowed for a large luxurious bathroom and shower 🚿

The futon in the living space doubles as a guest bed if you have more than 2 people 🤗

20 minutes from our little mountain haven 🏔️

Tubing past waterfalls on a pretty mountain creek in Great Smoky Mountains National Park? That's exactly what you can do in the Deep Creek area of the Smokies near Bryson City, North Carolina. Grab a tube on your way into the park, follow the trails in, and float back to where you started.

A family of 6 fox pups and their parents have been showing themselves frequently along the road up to the dome 🥹 🦊 they’re so stinking cute.
-
If you will be visiting the dome this month, please be careful as you approach the switchback right before the driveway, as they’re a little too bold with going out on the road with vehicles around.
-
But on your drive up, look up (about 20 feet from the road) and to the left around the switchback - they’ve made their den near a fallen tree and they have been very active 🧡

Like to make your own meals while on vacation? We’ve got you covered 🫶🏻

Our kitchenette might be small, but it’s mighty. Completed with a two burner induction stove top, spacious mini fridge, toaster, microwave, blender, coffee maker, etc. You can choose to make your meals from the dome, or go enjoy delicious food within 15 minutes in the towns of Dillsboro, Sylva, Bryson City or Cherokee!

This is the kind of privacy you have when you stay at

Disclaimer - to get this kind of mountain view and privacy and in an unrestricted area that allows domes (unique structures), the road up is also an adventure. It is not paved, it’s 1/3 mile of gravel and it’s windy because, well, it’s in the mountains! We can assure you that it is doable and much better than all the alternatives we had when choosing a lot of land to build the dome.

A bonus most people don’t realize is that this was the only unrestricted lot with a mountain view that ALSO had cell phone service. Service is unbelievably hard to come by when up in the mountains 🏔️

Have your breath taken away when you reach the top of our private hiking trail to relax in a hammock surrounded by gorgeous mountain laurel and long range mountain and valley views 😍

By the way, you will literally lose your breath because the trail is short but very steep and a great workout lol 😆 but totally worth it once you reach the top ✨
