"I try to always be optimistic about hurricane season, but one thing I learned in Florence was that it's best to be prepared!!
Here are some of the Apps that helped me during Florence (and all of the big or small storms since!) -- full disclosure, I'm trying to add the links from the app store but I am not sure if it will work as well as I'm hoping. These apps are FREE!!

⛈ STORM RADAR: Shows you a daily & hourly radar map of what to expect in your current location. (https://apps.apple.com/.../storm-radar.../id1216396545)

⛈ RED CROSS HURRICANE: This one you can see the path of any named storm and where you are in it's path. It's also great to share with family out of the area because you can add "monitored locations" so they can keep track of how the area is doing even if you lose signal to your phone! This app also shows where red cross stations are set up for emergencies. (https://apps.apple.com/.../hurricane-american.../id545689128)

⛈ Gas Buddy: If you evacuate, you may find yourself in areas you are not familiar with. I have many friends and past clients tell me they ran out of gas on back roads looking for gas stations that still had a supply of gas. (https://apps.apple.com/.../gasbuddy-find-pay.../id406719683) "
