Cobb just had the 1st inaugural Wesfest Music Festival, produced by Koalab Production Company on August 3rd. If you weren't there you missed out! There was a variety of music, from reggae-infused band Sol Horizon to headliner Burke, the tall pines at Belmont Pines Golf Course were reverberating well into the evening hours. It was a fun event and everyone had a fabulous time! We'd love to have much more of this in Cobb for everyone to enjoy.

Beneath the dark skies of Lake County, in Kelseyville, is the Taylor Observatory and Norton Planetarium. Primarily used for K-12 education and scientific purposes, it is open to the public during specific events.
The nonprofit, Friends of Taylor Observatory, in collaboration with many community stakeholders, is seeking Dark Sky Certification for Lake County from the International Dark Sky Association. Join their efforts via Facebook.

Clearlake Star Gazing is owned by amateur astronomer and telescope builder Michael McKeown. He shares telescopes with the public and supports the Taylor Observatory with his astronomy programs.
Bring stargazing to your event by hosting a star party! Michael has a variety of telescopes, plus astronomers to operate them at your event. His flagship telescope is the 16" Cyclops.
Depending on the season, you'll view some of the planets, galaxies, nebulas, star clusters, and the Moon in various phases.
