A sunset over sand dunes is always a magical moment! Watching the sunlight shift across the dunes at sundown is a captivating experience.🌞

The sand dunes of Death Valley are very picturesque surrounded by a silhouette of mountains.🌄

I was ecstatic to have these dunes all to myself! I was able to reflect, meditate, and frolic along the unique landscape where two Star Wars films were made!🎥

It’s time for another National Park road trip!🚙

I ventured to Death Valley, one of the hottest places on Earth. It’s also the largest and lowest national park in the United States.🇺🇸

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓’𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐏? 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖!

My favorite hike in Death Valley is Artists Palette. You can reach these beautiful colored mountains by taking a relaxing one way scenic drive. 🛣

Artists Palette is a photographers haven!
This beautiful palette of color covering the mountain is caused by volcanic minerals.🎨

I absolutely loved exploring these cotton candy colored hills. I spent a few hours here, amazed by the vivid hues around every turn. 🍭

The time of day, clouds, and rain shift the intensity of the colors, making each visit slightly different.⛅️

I recommend visiting late afternoon when the sun is lower. The colors will pop brighter!💡

Todays featured ROAD TRIP spans across 4 states!! 𝙰𝚁𝙸𝚉𝙾𝙽𝙰 • 𝙽𝙴𝚆 𝙼𝙴𝚇𝙸𝙲𝙾 • 𝙲𝙾𝙻𝙾𝚁𝙰𝙳𝙾 • 𝚄𝚃𝙰𝙷

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓’𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐏? 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖!

The trip began in Arizona, spending two days gazing across the Grand Canyon, enjoying leisurely hikes and exploration! ⛰
•
After a relaxing visit at the Grand Canyon, I headed to New Mexico for a quick stop and photo op at the Four Corners!
•
The Four Corners is a region in the USA where the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah meet! There is a section of the monument where you can stand in all four states at once! 💠
•
The next stop is Colorado and one of my all time favorite National Parks, Mesa Verde!
•
Mesa Verde is known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings. The cliff dwellings are in amazing condition and there are tours where you can explore them! In order to reach the cliff dwellings, you have to hike a moderate trail and some light climbing is involved. 🧗🏽‍♀️
•
I spent two amazing days at Mesa Verde, opting to stay at one of their cozy cabins! *There are no televisions in the cabins*
The restaurant at the lodge is amazing as well!
•
The last state on my extended road trip is Utah! Monument Valley is the destination! 🏜
•
Monument Valley lies within the territory of the Navajo Nation! Monument Valley is characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes and also labeled Forrest Gump Point from the popular marathon scene in the film🏃🏾‍♀️
•
I stayed at The View Hotel, which is very modest.....but the view is AMAZING! If visiting during peak season reserve rooms early because they sell out fast!⚡️
•
This was definitely a longer road trip from Las Vegas so plan for 5-6 days!

Zion National Park is one my favorite places to visit! The drive from Las Vegas is very pleasant and under 3 hours!
•
There are several popular hikes at Zion! One of my favorites is Angels Landing! It’s an amazing hike filled with insane switchbacks and steep drop offs! It isn’t for the faint of heart but definitely worth the bragging rights!
•
On my next trip to Zion, I plan to hike The Narrows!
•
𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬? 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰!
•
You can easily wake up early in the morning and schedule a day trip or you can opt for a 2-3 day weekend getaway! I prefer to stay at least two days. I love to spend one day just to relax and nature walk and another day to schedule an amazing hike!
•
There are plenty of lodging options to choose from! You can choose to camp, rent a cabin, book a hotel, or rent a villa. I prefer the villas at . I love the amenities and the creature comforts that this intimate boutique resort offers.
•
Zion National Park is a natural beauty that’s definitely a must see!

Covid-19 has definitely put a damper on travel plans 😫

For many of us 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄!!!!🌍

Although we may not be able to travel internationally, a good road trip is 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐀 𝐕𝐈𝐁𝐄!!!

Arizona is one of my favorite states to visit! Sedona is definitely my favorite city in AZ!

A trip to Sedona isn’t complete until you hike the Devils Bridge trail, have some yummy homemade chai tea and do a little wine tasting.....yes that little speck sitting on the bridge is me 🧗🏽‍♀️

The Devils Bridge trail hike is about 4 miles round trip from parking lot to bridge overlook. It’s an easy/moderate hike, so it is a great hike for the entire family! Definitely a must see! 😈

Sedona also has the only McDonalds in the world with turquoise arches.💫

According to city officials, the traditional “Golden Arches” would clash with the beauty of the Sedona landscape; so they painted them turquoise 👌🏾❤️

Also featured is the Chapel of the Holy Cross! What an amazing sight! 🙏🏾❤️

Horseshoe Bend is in Page, AZ. It’s by far one of the most impressive sights I’ve ever seen! It’s amazing how water can transform a landscape! 💦

When visiting Page, also plan a tour of both the upper and lower regions of Antelope Canyon! All three sights can be done in one day! ✨

Although many resorts are open, in order to abide by the Governors Covid-19 guidelines, the resorts must operate at only a 50% capacity.
•
There will be thermal temperature checks at all entrances. Most restaurants will be open but all nightclubs and most pools are still closed.
•
If you like to enjoy the social aspect of Vegas, you should wait until after Phase 4 to visit.
•
Currently STRICT social distancing guidelines will be enforced. No congregating in groups will be allowed on resort property.
•
Anyone interested in playing table games or slots must play alone without accompanying guests.
•
Understand that surfaces will be disinfected between guests, so anticipate longer wait times. Please be patient, team members will be under a tremendous amount of stress, with all of the new protocols.
•
Even though there are many new changes, guests will still receive exemplary service.
•
Covid-19 has definitely put a damper on the fun, party lifestyle of Vegas. Let’s just hope things get better soon.

We all love to travel to amazing destinations to learn and experience different cultures.

I have a question for White Americans, 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐒 (𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘) ?????

While attending school, I learned a version of American history that deduced Black History to one topic....SLAVERY.

As a culture, if we wanted to learn Black History, we had to research and educate ourselves.

During my research and discoveries, I learned about Black royalty, inventors, doctors, lawyers, poets, activists, educators, authors, scholars, politicians, pilots entertainers, athletes and more!

I was excited to learn so much incredible history of my ancestors. After the excitement subsided, I immediately felt anger and disappointment as to why my rich history isn’t included in the American curriculum.

This intention deletion of Black History is blasphemy!

Thanks to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, all of the research is done for you! It’s a stunning museum filled with awe inspiring Black History.

So, the next time you’re in Washington, D.C., go and learn the history and culture of your fellow Black Americans!

The Sacred Valley is a region in Peru’s Andean highlands. Along with the nearby town of Cusco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu, it formed the heart of the Inca Empire. Stretching roughly 60 kilometers, its an area of fertile farmland and Spanish colonial villages like Pisac and Ollantaytambo. ⛰

The Sacred Valley and Peru as a whole is definitely one of my favorite trips! The food, culture, nature, adventure and history are all incredible! The train ride on the Peru rail was an amazing highlight! 🚞

We visited The Sacred Valley before arriving to Machu Picchu. I loved the luscious green hillsides and the craft markets on the hilltops. You’ll find the most beautiful handmade sweaters and scarves from alpaca wool, so remember to have plenty of Peruvian Sol for shopping 🛍
