The Colosseum is a place I've always wanted to visit.

The Construction was funded by the opulent spoils taken from the Jewish Temple after the First Jewish–Roman War in 70 AD led to the Siege of Jerusalem.

It is a place where many Christians were martyred for their faith.

There is so much History in Rome, not all of it is very good. This Colosseum is a good reminder though of how far we've come as humanity. How much more loving we are today than we were in the past.

If you're wondering whether or not to spend the $ and do an excursion, just DO THE EXCURSION.

A cruise under the golden gate and around Alcatraz was a perfect way to see everything up close and personal when my friend and I visited San Francisco.

Plus we got to see these crazy wind surfers as well.

Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge brought me nostalgia because I've seen it so many times in the Full House intro as a kid. Everywhere you loooooook.

We weren't supposed to be here.
This trip was WILD.
Have you ever planned a trip, and EVERYTHING SEEMINGLY WENT WRONG?
That was this trip to California for me and a friend of mine.

As soon as we touched down in the San Jose Airport a google alert was sent to my friends phone that WILD FIRES had started and were spreading in San Jose close to where we were supposed to be staying.

CHANGE OF PLANS

We had to cancel all of our original plans because of the fires and the air quality.
YOSEMITE and the Red wood forests were not in our future any longer.

That is where San Fran came in, we re-booked a place to stay in San Francisco instead and our entire trip changed. No more Redwood forest...it was on FIRE. No more hiking in Yosemite, the smoke was drifting and the air quality was poor.

We still had the best time ever on our trip, even though it was not what we originally planned. We were determined to make the most of being in California!

Hopefully, no (literal) fires start on your vacation, but you have to be flexible if you love to travel, because things can and probably will change.

Learn to make the most out of the changes and new adventures!

- Great for Honeymoons and Anniversaries
- December through March is Whale Watching season 😍
- Go to the Capital city, see the monasteries and cobbled stone streets
- Has great beaches or jungle to explore

One thing I wish I opted for in Greece was a guided tour for some of these popular excursions. I was trying to save money and figured it was just as easy to walk around and read the plaques and guide myself through the historical sights.

The truth is, I regret that decision. I would have learned SO much more if I would have paid for a guided tour experience. These trips are typically once in a lifetime. Spend the extra money and get the most out of your experiences.

Travel agents can save you so much time by researching even down to your excursions and guided tours for you.
