🔨 We had some left over composite decking from a project… a few hrs later… two cabin decks got a refresh & Baby Bear deck got a fresh coat of paint!

After 7 months the new chickens are finally popping out some eggs! Small teeny ones right now 🥚
- We have some blue egg layers this year!
- And I’m loving the chicken sign Paul got me 🤗🥰

After 7 months we finally have some eggs from the chickens! Got some blueish eggs!
And some neighboring cows dropped by to say hello 👋

We have water (private well), power, cell service & WiFi
We have spent the last week clearing up!
- There’s still time to book to see the🍁 Fall Foliage! Or if you’re in need of some goat therapy 🐐🥰 or to just simply decompress.

- We have available dates at 3 cabins;
- Lazy Bear, Baby Bear, Mountain Breeze

Weaverville, NC supermarkets & gas stations are open and fully stocked!

💔 It has been heartbreaking to see lives, livelihoods, businesses, & homes destroyed by Helene. It’s been an emotional roller coaster 😔

- We are safe! As are the Chickies & Goats!
We recently got cell service & internet, power & water (private well) & will be back open to host with the three cabins we have left. We have been busy clearing the cabin areas so we can open.

We were lucky! We had no flooding.
We didn’t have to p*e in the woods for too long 😳 We used the hot tub waters to flush the toilet, wash & wash our clothes, used the cabin gas grills to cook what food we could get, a friend gave us water from his property for the animals as they drink 2 gallons a day, by the 4th day our son’s girlfriend’s parents saved us and gave us a generator to use 😢🤗

After 6yrs of hosting guests, we hope to be able to continue our cabin business here in Weaverville, NC that we love.
Due to guest cancellations we have lost our Fall leaf season which for all businesses in the area is the busiest time of the year! With the loss of income, we are hoping we can recover once guests come back to the area 🙏
- We had a giant tree take out one cabin ‘Pine Wood’, so that one won’t be in use until repair ☹️
We had 50 Plus trees come down over the 10acres!

Update: The 3 cabins are open! We have power, water, WiFi, hot tubs, goat cuddles 🥰. Weaverville supermarkets & gas stations are open & fully stocked.
