We know many of our Facebook followers either live in the Navarre Beach or the Emerald Coast area. Right now it looks like Hurricane Idalia 🌀 is going to go East. But we thought we would send out a list of resources just in case.

Last year when Ian came through Florida we found people found our we**am pages around the Gulf Coast and Florida helpful to monitor the situation. Please feel free to share these. Especially those in the line of Idalia in Key West, St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, and Tampa Bay

My camera and I decided to separate for a few weeks - we just weren’t seeing eye-to-lens. Well… we both had separation anxiety, so we got back together this morning and this is what we created… with a little help, of course! 😏

Tip #6 : Allow extra time to get from one place to another and enjoy the experience. It is peak season at Gulf Islands National Seashore. Patience, snacks, and a good playlist will keep you busy while waiting in line at the entrance stations.

Note: This line is exceptionally long at Fort Pickens because it was during a blue angels practice.

The track for Tropical Storm Zeta has jogged eastward in the latest update from the National Hurricane Center. Impacts could arrive locally as early as Wednesday morning, though the storm's exact path and intensity is still unclear. Officials say it's never too early to start preparations.

Navarre Beach Insider

This blog was inspired by our family trip to Navarre Beach Florida in July of 2019. Let me set the stage. We decided to take the trip around March of 2019 and finally got a house booked in April. My brother has lived there for over 10 years (he and all his friends we met there we will call the “Insiders”). I had heard about it being Florida’s “best kept secret” and know the “most relaxing city”. But there never seemed to be the right time to pack up the four of us to go.

We live in the midwest, Nebraska to be exact, and flights are not great going in and out, especially with small children. And, an 18-hour drive always seemed very overwhelming.

Then about 2 years prior to our trip we got a double confirmation from some parents at our children’s school. I can’t recall how it came up, but they mentioned their vacation to Navarre Beach and they were amazed I knew what and where it was (I always kept the weather as a favorite on my iPhone app). They said they loved it!

So, fast forward, to July and Mom, Dad, Sister (8) and brother (5) got in the sedan and made the 18-hour trek over 3 days. 3 weeks in all with a full 14 days in Navarre Beach.
