PLEASE heed the warnings. Trails are in very early season condition. Watch your speed, stay to the right and respect all landowners. Stay on the trail!
Note - Grooming operations will be at a minimum to preserve the little snow we have. We have been panning to form the best base possible.

We have a family lake house in Watersmeet, MI in the Western UP of Michigan. We are about 8 to 10 miles over the Northernmost border of Wisconsin. About 30 minutes from us is the town of Eagle River, WI and most years they build an ice castle in the center of town. This is always a big treat for us to see. We haven’t had one in a couple years due to the weather not cooperating. This year the ice castle is back! It’s quite the job to build it. Everyone is so appreciative to the volunteers. When you live deep in the woods it’s a real treat for us to drive to Eagle River and spend the day. I’ll link a post I wrote on my website about a day spent in Eagle River. The Travel Wisconsin Snow Report map is reset and ready for color! Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable 2025 Wisconsin Snowmobile Season!!!

Cold winter air has arrived! (Hopefully to stay.🤞❄️) Clubs have worked hard the last few months getting their trails in and prepping equipment. Areas of the snow belt (Hurley) and much of the Northwoods have some snow cover to start. All we need is the continued cold to keep freezing everything up. Then, BRING ON THE SNOW!!! Always optimistic for a GREAT SEASON! (or an average one at least. 😁❄️)

Last week the lake effect regions of the Great Lakes got pounded with snow. Some areas received multiple feet! Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has rideable snow for their December 1st season opener! As this is written many are enjoying their first ride of the season!!!

Let’s all be respectful this season. We can’t afford to lose trails or people. This is the responsibility of every rider using our trails…
