⚠️ Storm Warnings this weekend ⚠️

The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings in Devon and Cornwall, with severe weather across the UK this weekend. Storm Bert brings heavy rain and snow, together with gale force winds reaching speeds of up to 50-60mph. These high wind conditions will make walking on exposed sections of the SWCP hazardous. Stay safe and adhere to weather warnings and adhere to any Coast Path diversions 💨

🚗 Travel disruptions expected. Plan ahead and only travel if necessary.
🌊There is the potential for flooding in some areas and large waves along the coast throwing debris onto seafronts and coastal roads.
💨 Avoid cliffs and remote sections of the Path whilst the storm warnings are in place.
🚷 Be cliff aware - stay away from cliff edges and the base of cliffs as landslips can happen at any time
📱 Take a fully charged mobile phone and What3words or OS locate are really helpful apps to pinpoint your location on the SWCP
📞 Dial 999 or 112 in an emergency and ask for the Coastguard
