Five years ago I turned my Disney obsession into a job. My love for Disney started when I was little, watching all the movies with my parents. Trips to Walt Disney World, sailing on the first âunofficial Cruiseâ The Big Red Boat. Traveling to Walt Disney World with my best friend Jen, once we were in college and then working and living in Orlando, Florida while doing my College Program, participating in multiple RunDisney Races and taking our son on his first Disney trip. Disney is and will always be âhomeâ to me.
As my husband will never move to Florida, (BOO Frank) my next best option was to help plan friends and families Walt Disney World Trips!
January 20th, 2020 I joined ET Family Travel with the intention of keeping me close to Disney and keeping the magic alive for families!
My very first booking was for myself (lol, oops) for Walt Disney World in April, not knowing what 2020 had in store for us, the world shut down and so did travel. I cancelled my booking as Walt Disney World closed. By the end of the year, masks were required but we needed to get out of the house, my cousin and best friend made a quick trip down to Walt Disney World for something very unique. Traveling during a pandemic was interesting, but we powered through, masks and all. It was one of the best times to visit Disney as it was very quiet.
However, needless to say, my bookings for my first year as a Travel Agent was a whopping $60. Each year our owners check in to see if we want to continue with the business, I had every intention of making 2021 my bitch.
As most of you know, my Dad, my hero, my everything passed away very suddenly and while the world kept spinning, mine stopped once again. I couldnât fathom working on something happy and being around magic moments. So, 2021 let me down in the biggest way Iâve ever known, personally, professionally and financially. And the year ended with Ellen once again asking, if this was something I wanted to continue.
I did.
2023 I found my footing, my niche was Disney (obviously) and I sold it well, I was pretty impressed with myself that I didn't give up and I was going to make this happen. After selling quite a bit of Disney, I thought, I can do this.
I continued on with my education of cruises, Universal Studios, All Inclusive, Sandals and Beaches, River Cruises and so much more.
I booked my first European trip, my first cruise, first Sandals and like tattoosâŚI was addicted! I was invited to our agencyâs FIRST EVER PLATINUM AEP by Walt Disney World, a prestigious title a handful of agencies hold. I finally met Ellen and Tori, I met fellow agents! Regina was the first agent I ever met, followed by rooming with Tracy at Universal Fam, we will never room together again, I snore too much!! I met so many more amazing agents that today are my little core nucleus that are my support system, my team, my motivation, my questions, my SOS when I canât do it.
2023 only gave me a glimpse of what 2024 had in store for me.
2024, HOLY S**T. I set some high goals for myself, I made 2 of those 4 goals. Not the best scenario but I know some of my fellow agents do this full time as I am only part time, mom life, work life, cleaning life. Somehow my family and friends, referrals did NOT disappoint. I surpassed my sales goals, attended our SECOND Platinum AEP, and joined our team on at Sandals South Coast. By the end of 2024, the sales I had in for 2025âŚalready surpassed what I did in 2024!
I am beyond grateful to all my friends, family, clients, referrals to make this dream a reality. I have branched out from just selling Disney to all over the world. (Okay, not really, I havenât booked Russia) but you get it!
Itâs amazing how much can happen in five years, and I am so grateful for this opportunity to help YOU and build my business at the same time.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you.
Happy Anniversary to ME!
