Working with the Manchester Harbormasters crew, a large pile of storm damaged wire lobster traps and hundreds of feet of tangled rope were removed from the shallow water of Sand Dollar Cove this afternoon by the crew of Barge #2. The debris will be disposed of properly on land by the town DPW and will prevent anyone from getting injured while wading or swimming in the water.

The crew of Barge #2 had to make way for ducklings while installing a new mooring buoy and pendant in Cocktail Cove-Misery Island this morning while also being watched by a lone female deer on shore!

This granite memorial bench was installed today by the Town of Manchester by-the-Sea Department of Public Works overlooking scenic Manchester harbor at Reed Park. Steves dear friends Tom and Liz Cunneen initiated this memorial bench vision and numerous other friends of Steve contributed to make it possible!

On the morning of Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the ashes of Stephen Brodecki were sprinkled into the water off the lobstermen's dock in Manchester harbor, a spot Steve visited countless times over many years creating great memories with lots of good friends. This was a small private ceremony. Pictured below is Steve's sister Christine beginning the ceremony, followed by brother in law Jack, Steve's life-long best friend John Smith and Charlie Baker.

Our two work barges and our general purpose workboat are all powered by Honda outboards purchased from Crocker's Boat Yard in Manchester. As good as the outboards are, the service at Crocker's is even better!

We will be hosting an Open House here at Crocker's Boat Yard, Manchester on Friday May 5th from 3-7pm, Cinco De Mayo!

Jim and Chris will be there to answer any spring commissioning questions and Aaron will be there showing off all the new products from Sea Born Boats, Maycraft Boats and Polar Kraft Boats. We will also have one of our Honda Mechanics on hand to answer any Honda related questions.

Our Manchester Harbormaster, Bion Pike, will be joining us for the open house so if you have any harbor related questions he will be there to help answer them.

Some of our favorite vendors will be onsite showcasing their specialties as well;

- Onboard Interiors, from Marblehead, will be here and recently acquired Hood Canvas. Along with their top notch interior work, Krisha and her team will be continuing Hood's tradition of fine quality canvas work on the North Shore.

- Designs By Erin will be here to help with any graphics questions you may have. Erin does a great job for us and many of you have used here for names, hail ports and MS numbers.

- Manchester Mooring Service will also be by with their launch "Freedom". Manchester Mooring service has been working in the harbor for over 30 years. They now offer launch service throughout the harbor during the spring, summer and fall.

Launch Service is officially closed for the 2022 season, as we have begun fall mooring winterizations. Thank you to everyone who supported us this year. It is you, the harbor community, that has kept our propellers spinning and our faces smiling. We will see you next year!!
