As we start this new month, which marks the beginning of Tourism Month. South Africa is still on a level 2 shutdown. This means that most of the activities in the country are open under specific COVID-19 guidelines. This marks the return to more active tourism activity, which hopefully is a small step to welcoming all who travel to our shores to experience our local culture in the not so distant future. In the meantime, we usher in this new season with renewed hope and zeal for things to come.

The world over, we're all dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. In South Africa today is Human Rights Day, a day to commemorate and honour those who fought for our liberation and the rights we enjoy today, which include the right to life.
