Soccer fields around the world!
On our recent travels, we made a point to find places for Liv to play soccer in each location. We discovered that, while soccer fields are everywhere, very few are as nice as the ones we enjoy here in the US!

Where are my adventure travelers??
From this beautiful lodge in the heart of Belize, you have access to waterfall repelling, jungle hiking, blue hole swimming, cave tubing, river tubing, zip lining, and so much more.
I never knew how much Belize had to offer until I spent a few weeks exploring & navigating this beautiful country.

Since the water taxi back to the mainland stops in Caye Caulker, we decided to leave San Pedro a day early and spend a night here on this tiny island. It’s been a bit rainy, so we haven’t seen much. But so far, I LOVE it. Laid back island vibes, very friendly people! And I haven’t see a single car, though I’ve heard the are a total of 4 on the island!

If you’re ever near San Pedro, Belize I highly recommend booking a snorkeling tour thru Blue Tang Inn. We spent a beautiful afternoon aboard the Serina Azul sailboat. We snorkeled in Hol Chan Marine Reserve and swam with sharks at Shark Ray Ally. It was just me, my girls & an awesome 2-man crew.

Why Belize???
In no particular order or importance, these are some of the factors that played into us choosing Belize for our next adventure:

🇧🇿 It starts with a ‘B.’ Seriously! Whenever we would research countries that were open to US tourism, the list was alphabetical. As a result, we saw Belize at the top of the list time & time again. The more we looked into it, the more it started to grow on us.

🇧🇿The testing window for negative Covid results is 96 hrs before arrival. Many countries are 72 or 48 hours. A longer time frame just seemed less stressful & gave us more prep time.

🇧🇿It’s warm! Which allows for lighter packing, more outdoor activities, and less exposure to closed spaces.

🇧🇿English is the official language of Belize. After spending January in the Dominican Republic (which we LOVED!) it’s nice to be able to carry on a conversation, ask questions, get directions.

🇧🇿Variety of landscape. We’re spending a few weeks on Island Time near the beaches, then heading into the jungle with Mayan ruins & caves to explore.

🇧🇿No changing money. American dollars are accepted everywhere (though change is given in Belizean currency.) It’s just one less expense and hassle. The exchange rate is an easy 2:1, so we just cut the price in half and we know how much it costs.

Those are the simple factors that combined to find us getting a taste of life in tiny country of Belize!

Traveling to Salt Lake City for snow or skiing??
Here's an insider tip: The new SLC airport is beautiful!!
BUT... the tram will not be completed until next year, so there's A LOT of walking to be done!! Wear comfortable shoes & allow plenty of extra time, not only to get to/from your gate, but also to enjoy it & take it all in. (look for QR codes that will give you more information on the artistic inspiration)

Escape to another planet—or feel as though you have!

White Pocket is a little know gem just across the Utah boarder in AZ.
The white & tan rock formations with bursts of vibrant color are unlike anything you’ve seen.

Only about 1 sq. mile in size, you can spend an entire afternoon exploring diverse topography without hiking for miles & miles.

The drive out to White Pocket is NOT easy! I highly recommend going with a guide.

I conquered a fear today!

This restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is meant to feel like being at home in your Mom’s kitchen. But as a kid (and devout rule-follower) I did not take kindly to being told to keep my elbows off the table, clean my plate, or wipe my mouth.

Of course, it’s all in good fun. I understand that now. 😄
