Day 3- Volcano Bay 🌋 🌊
If you want to visit all 3 parks during your stay, you will need tickets that include Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios and Volcano Bay.
The express passes included with your premier resort does NOT include VB(you can purchase the passes separately)
✅ early entry at 930am, we got on the bus transportation at our resort and arrived within minutes. The security check was quick and be sure to show your room key at the next attendant bc they want to be sure you have early park entry
We were the 1st family at one of the check-in kiosks
✅At check in- they scan your park ticket and give you tapu tapu- used to hold your place in virtue queues, pay for things around the park, and activate interactive areas within the park
✅ We raced off to the aquacoaster-delayed 😞 but we were able to find us a perfect spot for our stuff in the shade
✅don’t worry we were able to do several raft rides, float down the fearless river(it’s not your typical lazy river, relax in the lazy river and if you are a daredevil like some in my family-ride the Ko’okiri Body Plunge-drop door body slide that pitches riders down a 70-degree-angle descent for 125 feet of high-speed fun
Aquacoaster was finally back up and running and we were able to ride it 2x back to back, it’s a must do!
✅ Mobile order lunch from the universal app-make sure your card is downloaded
✅accomplished a few more rides and decided to leave at 2pm to get a few hours in at the other parks before the Dawgs play
✅ the best tip for VB-take a bag with waters,snacks, towels, sunscreen, goggles-no one will touch your stuff
We left our phones in the bag most of the day so I didn’t get many pics! The kids said this place is awesome!
✅ Universal Studios closes early at 5pm when they host their Halloween Party so we had a few hours to explore.
Took the resort’s water-taxi right over to Citywalk, a quick peaceful boat ride that is open from 30 minutes before Early Entry until 2:30am
We did Villian-Con minion blast, the Bourne Stuntacluar Show(must do!) and ate a yummy ice cream at Schwab’s Pharmacy while we watched the Scooby-Doo gang hang around outside.
✅off to Islands of Adventure next to explore before dinner(walked right over bc it’s next door, just walk through city walk, the HP train connecting the parks was closed due to the party)
Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man was finally open after being delayed the day before
Walked around the Jurassic Park area
Reign of Kong again and walked through Hogsmeade at dusk
✅Dinner time at NBC Sports grill and brew-the guys were excited to sit down and have the GA game playing on several big screens while we enjoyed a giant pretzel and wings
Didn’t have my watch on at the water park, but from 3pm until 9pm I got another 6 miles in. Be prepared with walking ALOT of steps at the water park, it’s so worth it though!
