Happy Thursday everyone! Gosh, there hasn't been much action for adventurers heading down to Walt Disney World over the past year thanks to COVID but I finally made it! 💜

For those of you who don't know, my family and I tried to go down last March. We flew in on Thursday and later that night at Disney Springs, found out that the parks would be shutting down that Sunday so our 11 day trip turned into a 5 day trip. Were we devastated? To say the least! It was a trip with my parents who hadn't been in over 20 years and was about 3 years in the making. Oh well. We hunkered down back home and planned to try again when the world seemed safe again.

We made it down from March 11th-21st and despite the restrictions in place for COVID, had the absolute best time! We stayed at Pop Century, hit all 4 parks (Hollywood and Epcot twice!), finally snagged a reservation at Oga's Cantina (at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge), hung at Disney Springs a few times, and even made it to the ocean in Daytona Beach! No new rides for us this time but we did find a few new favorite restaurants: Liberty Tree Tavern (at MK), 50s Prime Time Cafe (at HS), Beaches & Cream (at Beach Club Resort), and Kona Cafe (at Polynesian Resort).

While things are a bit different right now, we felt completely safe inside the "Disney bubble" and would hands down go back again. Sure, wearing masks isn't ideal but at least you can find cute ones to match your outfit (like the one in the photo that I wore on St Patrick's Day ☺️). Who am I kidding, "would go back again?!" We are - in October - and this time, we'll be staying at Disney's Riviera Resort and you guys, I am SO excited! There sure are some big changes coming to Walt Disney World in the upcoming years! A fresh coat of paint and some new gold trim on Cinderella's Castle, the reimagination of EPCOT to pay homage to Walt's original vision, and tons of new rides (Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT), resorts, restaurants, and shows! Can't wait to see it come to life and explore it all!

Happy Monday everyone! It's been a while since my last post, so my apologies for that! Quick update for you all - the hubby and I moved into a brand new home 🏡 right before Christmas so life has pretty much been a whirlwind since then! Now that things are finally settling down and our new digs are starting to feel like "home," I'm back to Disney daydreaming 24/7!

Excited to be taking you all with us on our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World 🏰 and also our 8-night Disney cruise ⛴ to the Eastern Caribbean later this year!

Absolutely loved this resort and the room! The entire resort was completely refurbished by 2018 and all of the rooms are very modern and clean. They now have a standard queen bed with a murphy bed that doubles as a table and two chairs if needed. The bathroom had a curtain to the sink area and a pocket door to the toilet and shower/tub area. The resort is fairly small which is great and theming throughout the resort is fantastic. The food is pretty tasty and they have quite the variety (this food court happens to be our favorite so far over Caribbean Beach and Art of Animation).

We had a great time at Caribbean Beach and loved the single king bed. We also appreciated that the bathroom had sliding doors to sink area (which was great for me when I had to be up early for a conference and could let the hubby sleep in), as well as a separate door leading to the toilet and shower/tub area. The resort itself is pretty large and the walk to the main building can be lengthy if you're not in a close building. On the plus side, there is a shuttle that loops around the resort continuously so not a problem if you have time to spare. The food at the restaurant and food court was pretty good but the restaurant has been completely redone since we were there last.
