Good morning everyone!
Caye Breeze Cafe is planning a fundraiser to benefit the Caye Caulker Ocean Academy HS accident victims.
Monday, December 2nd
7:30-11:30 am

10 students and 2 teachers from Ocean Academy were on their way to Orange Walk to participate in the Regional Basketball Tournament when both back tires blew out on the van they were in.
Five have been transported to Belize City with critical injuries and seven have been/are being treated at the hospital in Orange Walk.
Several require CT scans and critical care that can only be provided at the private hospital. These procedures are costly and require payment in advance. If you are able to provide support and/or spread the word, the OA Family is grateful.

100% of all profits from the morning will go to assist with the medical expenses of Ocean Academy students & teachers involved in the accident while on their way to the basketball tournament in Orange Walk.
We are located on the beach by Caribbean Sprinter (Ocean Ferry).
Stop by for a delicious breakfast and help us to help these students and teachers.

UPDATE and ways to help if you are not in Belize:

The Caye Caulker Village Council 2022-2025 is raising funds for the 5 victims of the devastating roll over van accident today. 4 students and 1 teacher are in critical condition and need immediate medical care. The van was enroute to a sports tournament and 2 back tires blew out and the van lost control and rolled over and over. And as we all know that level of care is only available if you pay in advance. One of the students is on a respirator and needs multiple scans. and the others are also very injured and need advanced care.

The Caye Caulker Village Council has asked Lee Vanderwalker to fundraise for the Ocean Academy victims of this roll over van accident.

Our island kids got into a serious accident on the way to a basketball game. Prayers help. But the hospitals here don’t take them as payment. Please donate and help get our kids back home. Tonight our community received some very unfortunate news, our Ocean Academy Male Basketball Team was in a very serious accident while enroute to represent Caye Caulker at Regionals. Several students and teachers received cuts and fractures, while others were more seriously hurt. At this point 3 students and 1 teacher need CTScans. One student needs about 8 scans alone. The scan is important as it tells a more detail report of the injury and these 4 require immediate scan so they can begin to access these individuals. The Caye Caulker Village Council is already funding some of these scans but we will need the Community's support. We are praying these individuals can make a full recovery and the road ahead will not be as long. We are being as positive as possible. While we ask for prayers these families will need financial assistance. If you would like to make a donation please do an online transfer or deposit to Caye Caulker Village Council but please label it as
"Assistance for students". Please help us support these families. Thank you

New digital immigration and customs declaration system available to travelers starting December 1, 2024.

The Belize Tourism Board is pleased to announce the launch of Belize’s Online Immigration and Customs Declaration System!

Starting December 1, 2024, arrivals and departures at the Philip Goldson International Airport can streamline their travel experience with this new digital platform.

✅ Three-month transition period to fully online processing.
✅ By January 1, 2025, the system will expand to all ports of entry nationwide.
