We are your connection to Southeast Alaska's finest sportfishing. AE is a first class Alaskan charter experience, and your ticket to the sport fishing and wildlife-viewing experience of a lifetime. The lodge is a 110ft long, decomissioned navy tug boat Y.T.B.262/Oneyana, built in 1943. She has been re- named The Sea Ranger, and converted into a floating lodge. General Information;

From June to August we set up camp at our very remote spot adjacent to Kuiu Island in South East Alaska. You will fish from fully equipped and comfortable 35' sport fishing boats. and you can expect to catch a number of different fish including thophy sized Halibut, King Salmon, Coho, Sockeye, and Pinks. The area surrounding the fishing grounds will overwhelm you with its rugged beauty - towering trees, sapphire blue water, snowy mountains, and diverse wildlife. The region abounds in bald eagles, bear, whales of many types, sea lions, sea otters, blue herons, wolves, deer and more. Finally we are pleased to customize your Alaskan experience. In addition to our world-class fishing, we offer sight-seeing, whale watching, beach combing, and deep inlet skiff tours - what ever interests you.

The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime

For over 15 years, we set out to give people one of the most immersive Alaskan Experiences possible, one that people come back to time and time again. We are your connection to Southeast Alaska's finest sport-fishing. You'll cast and catch trophy King Salmon, Coho, Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod and more.

The moment you fly into the Bay of Pillars, you are surrounded by some of the most pristine conditions in the world. From the cold-cold waters to the snow-capped mountains, you wonder if anything can be fresher. With bears roaming the beach and hundreds of bald eagles patrolling the waters, being this close to nature is often only seen on TV.

What sets our fishing lodge apart from the rest? Well, for starters, your accommodations are all on the water! Your day starts and ends on the Sea-Ranger, a 110 ft retired Navy tugboat that has been converted into a floating lodge. We have designed each trip to accommodate eight to 10 people at a time, which allows for personalized attention to your fishing needs and ensures exclusive use of our lodge facilities.

What a typical day might look like on your Alaskan Experience. You wake up on the water, and after a gourmet breakfast you board one of our two 35-foot, fully outfitted sports cruisers and off you go, to a secluded part of the bay or out into Chatham Strait -or it's off to the lake for unparalleled fly fishing. You can expect to catch some different species ranging from King and Coho Salmon, Rock Fish, Lingcod, and we'd put our halibut fishing up against any in the world. End the day with a gourmet dinner, drinks and the best stories of the day.
