They signed up for The Key West Papa’s Pilar Rum Stroll Sponsored By Papa’s Pilar Rum & strolled through eight scenic locations sampling the delicious rich flavors of Papa’s Pilar Rum. Inspired by the spirit of the moment, they decided to capture their adventure in a series of photos. With each sip, the more rummier they got the more awesome the photos. Check out this cute couple from Central Pennsylvania who are probably just soo happy to be drinking rum, taking silly pictures and wearing shorts!! (Central PA - think too much frickin snow!!)

Upon waking to the news of Jimmy's passing, the island stands still. We weep not just for the man, because most of us have never met him. It is what he stood for. Fun, freedom, escaping from the traps that have been created for us.

Most locals cringe every time his music comes on in our local shops. Why? Because you have arrived. You are living the very life that Jimmy celebrated. Do not take that blessing for granted for even one minute. These islands are magic, and Jimmy pointed that out for the entire world.

For those of you trapped where it snows. For those of you that are trapped in jobs you hate and towns you want to escape from... I see you. Jimmy wrote and sang your anthems. Mango men, 6 strings, frozen concoctions, flip flops and sun-tanned kisses.

I mourn today because I was once that trapped mainlander. I would blare Son of a Sailor knowing that one day I would escape that life and make it to the sea. When the sea calls to you, every day that you do not answer you become more and more miserable.

Jimmy was our captain. We are not misfits; we are not outcasts. We are Key Westers who now captain our own ships and raise our own sails.
