🌍 Where Would I Go Wednesday: The Magic of Running Disney 👟

🏰 The early morning air buzzes with excitement, the kind only found at a RunDisney starting line. Fireworks light up the predawn sky, casting a glow over thousands of runners dressed as their favorite Disney characters. Some are seasoned racers, others are first-timers, but all are here for the same reason—to chase magic, one mile at a time.

🏃‍♀️ In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day—and because my daughter may have convinced me to register us for Wine & Dine Weekend on Tuesday —I’m dreaming of lacing up my sneakers for another RunDisney adventure! 👟

👟 When I first laced up my running shoes, I wasn’t just looking for a race—I was looking for an experience worth training for. My dream was to start my journey at Disneyland, but just as I was ready, the races disappeared from California.

👑 So, in 2018, I took on Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Disney World, running the 10K and half marathon. The moment I crossed that finish line, I knew one thing—I should have run the 5K, too! From then on, I made a promise: if I run, I run every race of the weekend!

Since then, I’ve tackled Princess Weekend (again!), Wine & Dine, and Springtime Surprise, and now I have my sights set on the ultimate challenge: D***y (48.6 miles in one weekend!). Maybe 2027 is the year I finally take it on!

And the best part? RunDisney races are BACK at Disneyland! Now, I can finally chase my dream of running coast to coast, earning that extra-special Coast to Coast Challenge medal!
