Long Island Greenway is creating a nearly 200-mile greenway through 27 communities from Manhattan to Montauk. The goal is to connect
millions of New Yorkers to each other, to nature, and to the 750-mile Empire State Trail.

I know this is probably a long shot but my son got bullied over by the power lines and they took his helmet and threw it into someones yard last week. I just bought the helmet two days prior to this incident and dont have another $30 to drop right now on another one. I was hoping someone found it. Thank you.

Looks like work has continued on the trails. Getting close to being paved in many areas.

I wish we were able to use this for the summer. I know my kids will be happy to use it for a safe passage to their friends houses off the route

Let us know what your seeing in your area for the progress of the trail. In sound beach area they have layered the base stone for asphalt work.

So just to let everyone know... the trail actually ends on the western end of Mt. Sinai at Crystal Brook Hollow Rd. around the area behind Skyzone. So I was told that where the Port Jefferson-East Setauket trail starts on the eastern end is about a mile from end of ours. So I just wanted people to be aware the gap between trails is about a mile and puts you on a busier road. I will be inquiring about if they plan to connect these two trails at any point.
