🥤Did you know about the DVC Lounge in EPCOT?

🥤It’s located at the exit of the Figment attraction by the elevator. Spaces fill up so may have a wait.

🥤They offer complimentary soda fountain drinks, snacks and lounge chairs where you can recharge your devices in the A/C

Mission Space is no longer the only ride at EPCOT to offer a motion sickness bag, aka barf bag

🤢 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is now offering bags at the exit

🤢 I rode this ride twice, within 1 hour and I had zero negative effects, but I am not one who typically gets motion sickness on rides

🤢 If you easily get motion sickness on other rides, take precautions when riding Cosmic Rewind

🤢 My advice is to make sure you’re always looking at the main focal point at all times, and avoid looking around too much; don’t ride on empty stomach or after heavy meal or sweets

Nomad Lounge & Cocktail Bar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a great hidden gem

🛖It might seem impossible to get a reservation, but don’t let that discourage you

🛖If you don’t have luck grabbing a reservation or joining a waitlist as soon as you walk into the park, keep checking the app throughout the day

🛖I was able to join the walk up waitlist which gave me an hour wait time, but I was texted within 15 minutes that my table was ready!

Popcorn Pro Tip!

🍿 Regular popcorn is what you will mostly find throughout the parks, but did you know you can use your refillable souvenir popcorn bucket for specialty popcorn?

🍿 Places like Canada Pavilion at EPCOT serve maple popcorn, and will give you refills making it a better deal, while Kat Sakas Kettle in Galaxy’s Edge won’t

🍿 If you’re going to plan on buying popcorn more than twice during your visit, a souvenir bucket is the cheaper option in the long run, with refills being a little over $2!

What’s on your Disney Bucket List?!

🎩 A Disney “honeymoon” was on my list, and why not scratch that off on our 10 year anniversary trip?

🎩 Bride and Groom hats were fun to wear and cast members and guests were so nice to us all week

🎩 We booked dining reservations we never do because we’re with our kids, bar hopped, and we rode rides together we normally have to baby swap because our kids aren’t old enough for them

Did you know Millennium Flacon has a single rider line?

✨Regular standby queue was at about a 1 hr wait, so we joined the single rider line and got all the way in in less than 15 mins!

✨Depending on the requirements, kids can be single riders too! My kids are over 7 years old and we’re both allowed to ride Mt. Everest as single riders.

✨If you don’t mind being split from your party in exchange for a shorter wait time, consider single rider when available

Our first visit to The Cabins at Fort Wilderness to celebrate my birthday

🥳 If you’re celebrating something special, bring decorations to decorate your room! It’s gives an extra level of festive to your vacation!

🥳 Foil balloons don’t take up space in your luggage and blow up easily. No helium required!

🥳 My cake topper was a happy meal toy from the McDonalds on Disney property

🥳 I also brought a set of string lights for an extra touch of cozy. GET CREATIVE!

Did you know you can request fresh towels and not have to be in your room to receive them?

🧼 I used up the last of my fresh towels in the morning and was heading out to the parks, but I wanted clean towels for when I returned in the evening

🧼 Call Housekeeping and request towels or toiletries you need and no need to stay in your room. They’ll just drop them off in your room.

If you’re an I Love Lucy or Lucille Ball fan you’re gonna love this Easter egg

❤️ Over at Hollywood Studios Brown Derby Restaurant they have replicas of all the caricatures from the original restaurant in California

❤️ If you’re heading towards the bathrooms, look up above the archway

❤️ Lucy will be on the bottom towards the right, with painted red lips

You don’t have to settle for burgers, hotdogs and chicken nuggets if that’s not what you’re into!

🍚 I like for my kids to eat a variety of foods, and I love variety too! Don’t assume theme parks only serve “theme park food”

🍚 Look at menus before you go to the parks so you have a good idea of where you can find healthier and yummier options

🍚 Sometimes I skip buying full meals and just buy sides, like a side of rice and beans and that’s enough since my kids usually waste fries and drinks

I love this spot for grabbing a unique and beautiful dessert to celebrate something special!

🍰 Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs makes petite cakes, which is perfect for sharing. No need to buy a huge cake you’re not going to finish while on vacation. And probably comes out cheaper than buying everyone their own individual dessert.

🍰 They make different themes and character inspired designs, ready to pickup

🍰 Take one back to your resort and enjoy in the comfort of your room or by the pool!

Pro tip if you’re looking for shaded, low crowd spot to eat/drink in World Showcase in EPCOT

🇲🇦 Head to the Morocco pavilion and explore all the areas off the beaten path

🇲🇦 They have tables and chairs, ceiling fans, and SHADE

🇲🇦 I love the ambient music and taking in the design and decor

You don’t have to wait until October to celebrate Halloween!

👻 It might seem too early to celebrate Halloween in August or September, but tickets are typically cheaper

👻 Sometimes, kids aren’t even in school yet, so no need to miss school

👻 If you love Halloween, this is a great way to celebrate all month (or more) and really stretch that countdown to Halloween!

Here’s what you can do if your room isn’t ready by the time you check-in

🛎 If you’re heading straight to the parks, you can leave your bags with bell services. When you return to your room later in the day, you can call to have them brought up.

🛎 If you plan on hitting the pools, make sure to grab your swimwear and a change of clothes to have on hand before leaving the bags. Most resorts have showers by the pool and you can always use those to change out of your wet bathing suits.

🛎 If you just want to relax, most resorts have a lounge, pool bar, or recreational room to wind down

What’s the best fireworks viewing area?

🏰 This is a personal answer and varies by family. Do you want up close view of the castle? Do you want to avoid being crammed in by crowds? Do you want to be closer to Main Street?

🏰 For me, I like having no one in front of me. So my favorite spot is along the walls by the fountains in the hub. This way if someone needs to sit or stand they have that option. It’s also far back enough that I get a good view of the castle and fireworks.

🏰 Where ever you decide you want to watch the fireworks from, remember so start securing your spot up to 1 hour before! By 30 minutes to show time, you will barely be able to walk around or find a decent spot, especially for strollers or large parties.

Most underrated attraction at Disney World has got to be Tom Sawyers Island

🪨 Not only is it a great place to get away from massive crowds, it’s a peaceful spot to relax, eat a snack and enjoy the views of Frontierland and Liberty Square

🪨 Plus, kids can run around, over bridges, down winding paths and through caves. Caves are narrow and dark!

🪨 Little Explorers can spend hours here finding all kinds of hidden treasures

Most people know you can order a whole pizza to go and enjoy back in your room, but did you know you can mobile order AHEAD?

🍕 You can be inside of a Theme park early in the day and mobile order a whole pizza and more for pickup at a later time

🍕 So if you know you’ll be in your room at 8pm for example, you can preorder your pizza for 8pm pickup and head straight to your room for a relaxing in-room dinner

🍕 If you wait until the time you want to eat, the orders might be backed up and you may not get the pickup window you want. Ordering ahead secures the time you can pick up your food!

Here is a really GREAT pin trading tip! Don’t buy pins in the parks! 😆

🧷I personally buy pins in bulk on eBay. You can easily find a lot of 20-100 pins (random Disney pins) for less than $50!

🧷 They probably won’t be cute ones you want to keep, but that’s exactly why it’s great for pin trading!

🧷 My kids love trading them for ones they really like in the parks and resorts, it’s entertaining for them and won’t cost me extra $$ during my vacation!

Here’s how to get practically unobstructed views of The Tree of Life

🌳 Forget all the crowded spots and head towards Creature Comfort, aka Starbucks

🌳 Across the way you will see a path that leads towards the river and The Tree of Life

🌳 Not only is it not crowded in this pathway, you can watch the flotillas, aka Character Cavalcades on the River and take great pictures with The Tree of Life or even eat a snack in peace while taking in nature!

Know how to wait in line for a ride without taking any time away from open park hours?

🕚If there is a ride that has had a huge wait time all day long and you’re unable to snag a lightning lane fast pass, make sure to get in line minutes before park closes

🕚If park closes at 9pm for example, make sure to get in line by 8:59pm and you are guaranteed to ride (given that the ride is operational)

🕚This maximizes your park time and still gets you extra time to wait for that ride with high wait times!

Campgrounds at Fort Wilderness is a great intro to camping for families with kids

🏕 You can choose from a basic campground with hookups for water and electricity up to a full Cabin with amenities like a cooktop and full sized fridge

🏕 If you camp during holidays like Halloween and Christmas, most guests go “all out” and fully decorate their camp, making it fun for a walk or ride around the campgrounds

🏕 For those camping, don’t worry about bathrooms and showers. There’s always comfort stations within walking distant of your camp for easy access

🖼 It’s free and mostly indoors! Great way to spend some time if you’re trying to get away from the outdoors

🖼 Visit a cast member at the DVC desk in the lobby for a free map and set of stickers

🖼 Don’t worry about not being a resort guest, anyone can play! At the end show your completed map for your own Disney art prize

Some resorts offer specialty coffees and teas, for those who need their caffeine before hitting the parks

☕️ Resorts like Riviera and Contemporary serve specialty coffees and teas on the lobby

☕️ All 4 parks and Disney Springs have Starbucks locations, but if you’re looking to avoid long lines, check if your resort has any offerings and take it to go

Here’s a fun little tip for you Scrapbookers, or those who like to keep little mementos of your Disney trips

✂️When your kids outgrow their costumes, but you don’t want to save them all, cut out a small section

✂️Add the fabric to your scrapbook, or just keep it in a box with pictures for memories

✂️I like to pair the fabric with pictures of my kid wearing the same costume

What are the best souvenirs for kids?

🍊 Shoulder plush pals are the best in my opinion… not only are they inexpensive compared to most other souvenirs

🍊 They are small and great for packing in luggage on your trips back home

🍊 And they entertain the kids and make for cute photos

It never hurts to *ask nicely* for some Disney Magic!

✨ On our last trip, our room wasn’t ready after 4pm, and a lovely cast member saw my daughters birthday pin and upgraded us to Castle view!

✨ Always wear your celebration pins if you’re there for a special occasion… you never know when a cast member will sprinkle you with some pixie dust magic

✨ Just always be kind to cast members because they don’t have to go out of their way, but it should always be appreciated when they do!

Most people skip even walking into the Canada Pavillion in EPCOTs World Showcase.

🌼It is probably one of the least crowded spots in World Showcase, and I don’t know why because it’s so beautiful!

🌼If you walk all the way up to the back you’ll even find a waterfall, the perfect photo op and spot to eat a snack without people bumping in to you

🌼This is my favorite pavilion to get uninterrupted photos of my family and barely anyone getting in my shot

Magic Tricks and Drinks

🪄 Abracadabar is an awesome place to enjoy when visiting Disney’s Boardwalk, no park ticket needed!

🪄 Great spot for adults, but kids welcome too! You might even find Yzma’s Lllama Poison on the shelf as a fun little Easter egg!

🪄 If you’re looking for unique drinks, this is the place to go

My kids love scavenger hunts!

🔎EPCOT food festivals usually have a good scavenger hunt, whether it’s finding hidden Remys or Figments

🔎For an small fee you can purchase a map and when completed you can redeem a prize

🔎This is a great way to keep kids entertained and engaged, especially during food festivals where adults might be busy trying food and drinks around World Showcase

Do your kids love a good scavenger hunt?

🦎 If you’re in Magic Kingdom, head towards the “Rapunzel bathroom” area next to It’s A Small World attraction.

🦎Look near rocks, trees, walls and you’ll find about 10 Hidden Pascals.

🦎This is a great way to entertain little ones when lines are too long, you’re waiting on a lightning lane return time, or even waiting for family members who are using the restroom.

What is “rope drop?”

🎟 If you are staying on property and want to take advantage of extra time in the parks get there before park open!

🎟 Disney parking lots open up to 1 hour before park open, which gives you a head start on crowds.

🎟 Be one of the first to park so you’re already inside and past security before park open.

🎟 Some stores and Starbucks are open before park open and let’s you beat the morning coffee crowd

🎟 During one of our trips, we had parked, gone through security, entered the park, grabbed coffee and rode Slinky Dog Dash all before park open!

Where are my Disney Adults? 🤚

🍸 Did you know you can find Lounges in most Disney resorts and parks?

🍸 You don’t have to be staying at any particular resort to be able to enjoy a drink at their lounge.

🍸This is The Enchanted Rose at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and is accessible by monorail

🍸 And did you know you can bring your kids? Most are family friendly with no age restrictions, but always double check. For example, Trader Sams Grog Grotto at the Polynesian welcomes the whole family until 8pm. After that it’s 21+!

👀 You never know where Disney will sneak in movie references, prop replicas, or hidden Mickey’s

👀 One of my favorite things to do is find often overlooked details and hidden gems like these

👀 You can find Beauty and The Beast live action inspired figures at The Enchanted Rose Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Do you know you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from BEHIND the castle?

🎆 If you want to avoid the large crowds in front of the castle, this is a great alternative

🎆 If avoiding large crowds is really important to you, consider this area which is right past Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Fantasyland near the New Fantasyland Walls

🎆 You might miss parts of the show that you’d only be able to see from right in front of the castle, but you still get a pretty view of the back of the castle and fireworks

Let’s talk corner rooms!

🛌 I’ve gotten a few corner rooms in different resorts, and because of unconventional layouts, I feel they have been more spacious and almost create a more “bedroom” feel rather than typical studio layouts, and *sometimes* they have extra windows

🛌 It never hurts to request a corner room at check-in, though know that requests can’t always be fulfilled

🛌 Always ask nicely for a different room if you’re unhappy with location, etc. Sometimes Cast Members can find a better fit for you, just remember to be polite because they aren’t required to make changes
