Isla cottage is a dog friendly, 200 year old holiday cottage ideally located in the charming village of Osmotherley, close to the market town of Northallerton. Osmotherley has been voted the prettiest village in the uk according to Google. sitting on the edge of the luscious Yorkshire Dales, with its grade ll listed buildings and structures, surrounded by rural routes its not hard to figure why. With its unique history and look it truly is a place that looks like it has stood still in time. Osmotherley has three pubs all gathered around the green in the centre. the three pubs all offer outside seating where you can watch the world go by. The village fish and chip shop which was named the best in Northern England in 2019.
The original church still stands and parts of the building are believed to date back to the Norman Period.

Cod Beck is a very popular beauty spot with the lovely waters surrounded by attractive woodland and moorland. the circular walking trail is roughly 1.5 miles.
Osmotherley and the cleveland way is a 10.1 kilometer loop trail located near Osmotherley. That features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate.
The village store is stockists of local Yorkshire Honey and Brymore ice cream.
The Queen Catherine
The Queen Catherine pub is named after Henry Vlll's first wife Catherine of Aragon and is the only pub in England named after her. The Pub has a great atmosphere and the service is friendly and prompt. Dog Friendly and well worth a visit.
The Three Tuns is popular with tourists year round and particularly in the summer.
